10.0.5: Talent Trees, Edit Mode, and Motion Sickness
Patch 10.0.5 has arrived today. It introduces a plethora of new features to enjoy. In addition, Blizzard has also made significant updates to the Talent Trees and Edit Mode. To improve the overall gaming experience, they also addressed players’ concerns about motion sickness while Dragonriding.
TALENT TREE
Gone are the days of resetting both trees as a single unit. Now you have the freedom to tailor your resetting experience. Whether you prefer to work on one tree at a time or both in unison, the choice is yours.
You’ll now also be able to copy another player’s trees without the need for manual screenshots or add-ons. Simply click on their character, and choose “Inspect.” There, at the lower right corner, select “Talents.” You’ll find the “Copy Loadout Code” option. Click it, and you’re done.
Blizzard also includes a new feature to show what changes you are making to your trees. The game now visually highlights your modifications by altering the frame’s appearance. Instead of the traditional sleek look, the borders will become rigged to show you that you had this talent before you swapped it for another one. This feature makes it easy to keep track of what you are doing and allows you to revert to your previous settings quickly.
THE EDIT MODE
The edit mode is also getting new functionality in 10.0.5. Experience bars, equipment durability, bags, and the micro bar button. You can finally move those things around and place them exactly where you want without using the add-ons. You can also use arrow keys to fine-tune or nudge the placement of elements to get things exactly where you want them.
DRAGONRIDING MOTION SICKNESS
There are options to help address motion sickness problems you might encounter while soaring in the sky with your trusted drake:
- Landscape Darkening: When you move quickly, the landscape will turn darker than the main focal point.
- The Focal Circle: A white circle will appear on your screen. Its purpose is to limit your area of focus.
- Darkening and Circle: A combination of the two options above.
You are also given the ability to enable and disable the visual speed effects if they contribute to your dizziness. If you have any problem with Dragonriding, it’s high time to test out these new features as Patch 10.0.5 has gone live.
