Key takeaways
- WoW Forever adds nine new 5-player dungeons covering Levels 13 through 60.
- Four dungeons currently have detailed pre-launch loot: Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Excavation Site: Wetlands, and City of Dalaran.
- Five later dungeon loot tables remain TBA: The Drowned City, Krol’dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold, and Shaper’s Terrace.
- City of Dalaran requires an attunement questline before players can access the dungeon.
- Several bosses drop profession Blueprints alongside normal weapons and armor.
- Our Need recommendations assume the item is an upgrade for your current role. Main-role players should normally have priority over off-spec or marginal sidegrades.
WoW Forever adds nine completely new dungeons to Azeroth, ranging from the early-game Hall of Thanes beneath Ironforge to Level 60 adventures such as Blackmaw Hold and Shaper’s Terrace.

These are Blizzard’s latest published dungeon level ranges. Excavation Site appeared as 26–31 in an earlier Beta build, but Blizzard’s newer dungeon overview lists it as 24–29, which is the range used throughout this guide.
About the Need column: the recommendations below are not rigid loot rules. They assume the item is a meaningful upgrade for your active role. Avoid taking Cloth from a Priest or Mage for a marginal hybrid upgrade, for example, or a tank shield for an Enhancement off-spec when your group’s tank needs it.
Hall of Thanes loot table

Level range: 13–18
Location: Beneath Ironforge, Dun Morogh
Hall of Thanes is located in the ancient burial chambers beneath Ironforge, where Dark Iron intruders have disturbed the resting place of the dwarven kings. Alliance players have easy access through Ironforge, while Horde groups must travel deep into Alliance territory.
The current loot table contains 12 equipment drops from four bosses.

Ruins of Lordaeron loot table

Level range: 15–20
Location: Ruins above the Undercity, Tirisfal Glades
Ruins of Lordaeron takes players into the shattered former capital while the Forsaken attempt to reclaim it from Scourge forces and a growing necromantic threat. Horde players can reach the dungeon easily from the Undercity, while Alliance groups must enter hostile territory.
The current boss table contains 20 known equipment drops, plus the profession Blueprint: Fermenter. A rare Deathsworn Captain also carries two unusually powerful items.

The Coldspire Staff is one of the most specialized early dungeon drops, providing +32 Frost damage and making Frost Mage its obvious priority user. Blueprint: Fermenter currently has a roughly 8% observed drop rate from Rath’mael.
Some client-derived trackers also associate Blueprint: Arcane Salvager with Rath’mael, while current City of Dalaran loot data places it on Shade of the Archmage. Because the pre-launch source data conflicts, this guide lists it under the currently documented City of Dalaran source instead.
Excavation Site: Wetlands loot table

Level range: 24–29
Location: Above Whelgar’s Excavation, near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz, Wetlands
Excavation Site sends players into a strange highland area above Whelgar’s dig site, where unusual mist, prehistoric wildlife, and malfunctioning Titan constructs surround the expedition. The dungeon has four encounters, although Highland Horror is primarily tied to quest progression rather than a normal equipment table.
Current boss data provides nine main equipment drops and two valuable profession Blueprints.

City of Dalaran loot table

Level range: 28–33
Location: Alterac Mountains
City of Dalaran is a larger, multi-route dungeon set inside the exposed magical city after its protective barrier falls. Players must first earn access through a faction-specific attunement: Alliance characters begin with An Alarming Request in Southshore, while Horde characters begin their chain in Tarren Mill.
The current table includes 24 equipment drops from eight loot-bearing bosses, plus the Spinning Wheel and Arcane Salvager profession Blueprints.

City of Dalaran contains several unusually powerful caster weapons. Spine of the Devourer carries +36 Spell Power, while Tendonscraper Dagger combines the same Spell Power amount with a one-handed setup.
Guardian’s Dualblade is another standout because its defensive proc can grant 1080 Armor for 12 seconds, although the one-minute internal cooldown prevents it from being treated as permanent tank mitigation.
The Drowned City loot table

Level range: 35–40
Location: Off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, west of Grom’gol
The Drowned City is an open-air dungeon built around ancient troll ruins that have risen from the sea. Players enter underwater before exploring streets occupied by trolls and naga, while the weather progresses from mist and rain toward a storm near the final confrontation.
As of October 31, the current pre-launch client does not contain a published boss or loot table for The Drowned City.

Krol’dok Stronghold is a sprawling ogre fortress in Riverglades. Players follow the trail of ogre raiders and kidnappers through workshops, encampments, and guarded interior areas while investigating strange activity deeper inside the stronghold.
The dungeon exists in the Forever client, but its bosses and usable loot table have not yet been published in current pre-launch data.

Level range: 48–53

Alcaz Prison finally opens the mysterious prison complex on Alcaz Island. Inside, the Defias Brotherhood and naga are already fighting one another, while the dungeon continues the long-running mystery surrounding King Varian Wrynn and the island’s high-profile prisoners.
Current pre-launch client tracking still contains no published Alcaz Prison boss or loot table.

Blackmaw Hold loot table

Level range: 55–60
Location: Azshara
Blackmaw Hold is a large max-level dungeon centered on a secluded furbolg city in Azshara. The Blackmaw clan is fighting a corruption spreading through its groves and mountain tunnels, and Blizzard describes the dungeon as having multiple routes and bosses with an even deeper mystery beneath the hold.
No verified Blackmaw Hold boss drops are currently exposed in the pre-launch loot databases. Current client trackers still show the dungeon without a boss or loot roster.

Which item is actually best depends on your spec and current equipment, so the Need recommendations in this guide should be treated as role guidance rather than a strict BiS ranking.
And that wraps up our WoW Forever new dungeon loot tables. The first four new instances already offer strong leveling gear and valuable profession Blueprints, while the remaining five loot tables will become clear once their bosses and drops are available at launch.
