About Venomous Abyss raid

The Venomous Abyss is the new eight-boss raid launching with Midnight: Season 2. As always, we have Story, LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.

Venomous Abyss release date – Midnight Season 2, August 18, 2026.

Here are some useful changes to raid gearing in Season 2:

• The bonus roll token is available from the Great Vault vendor right away. From week 8 of the patch, you can get one Bonus Roll each week from Orin Straylight near the Catalyst in Silvermoon, so you don't need to go to Voidstorm anymore.
• Using a Bonus Roll in the raid now costs 1 token instead of 2.
• The Great Vault rewards are getting better: gear from LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic will all start at higher item levels, with very rare items and drops from the last two bosses going even higher.
• Items keep their cantrip effects when catalyzed.
• Later in Season 2, the Voidcore system continues with Ascendant Venomstones, and these will work on Necklaces as well as Weapons and Trinkets.
