Feral is unusual because the same Feral Combat tree supports two completely different roles. Cat Form prioritizes Energy, Combo Points, critical strikes, and bleed damage, while Bear Form focuses on Rage, Armor, avoidance, Swipe, and threat.
Balance and Restoration have clearer single-role identities. Balance builds toward Eclipse and Moonkin Form, while Restoration eventually reaches Wild Growth for party-wide healing.
Note
The Druid tree is still changing during Beta. Build 1.60.1.70170 added Shifting Power and Improved Shifting Power and adjusted several existing Feral talents, so older saved builds may already be outdated.
Best Balance Druid talents in WoW Forever

The best Balance Druid talent build at Level 30 is 21/0/0, investing every available point into Balance.
The build focuses on making Wrath faster and cheaper, improving Moonfire, increasing spell Critical Strike chance, strengthening Entangling Roots, and adding Insect Swarm.

|
Vengeance |
5/5 |
Improved Wrath reduces both the cast time and Mana cost of Wrath, making it the core spell for Balance leveling. Moonglow further reduces the Mana cost of damaging spells, while Improved Moonfire strengthens your main instant damage-over-time ability.
Vengeance is particularly valuable because it increases the Critical Strike damage bonus of Arcane and Nature spells. At 5/5, your critical spells gain a much larger payoff from Nature’s Majesty and later Balance talents.
Balance Druid leveling talents
For Balance Druid leveling, use:
|
Levels |
Talent progression |
|---|---|
|
10–14 |
Improved Wrath 5/5 |
|
15–17 |
Moonglow 3/3 |
|
18–19 |
Improved Moonfire 2/2 |
|
20–21 |
Nature’s Majesty 2/2 |
|
22–24 |
Improved Entangling Roots 3/3 |
|
25 |
Insect Swarm 1/1 |
|
26–30 |
Vengeance 5/5 |
The basic leveling strategy is simple: keep enemies at range with Entangling Roots, apply Moonfire and Insect Swarm, then use Wrath while the target remains controlled.
Improved Entangling Roots is especially useful because enemies can take substantially more damage before your root breaks, making the traditional Druid root-and-nuke strategy considerably more reliable.
Omen of Clarity also becomes baseline at Level 20 rather than requiring talent points, giving every Druid access to Clearcasting while leveling.
Level 60 Balance Druid build
A strong preliminary Level 60 Balance Druid build is 41/0/10.
Deep Balance adds:
- Eclipse
- Moonfury
- Moonkin Form
- Nature’s Grace
- Improved Starfire
- Full Vengeance
- Nature’s Splendor
- Additional Balance damage and efficiency talents
Eclipse creates the defining Balance rotation in Forever. Wrath generates charges that reduce the casting time of upcoming Starfire casts, encouraging you to alternate between the two spells instead of repeatedly casting a single nuke.
Moonkin Form then provides increased Armor, party Critical Strike chance, and improved Omen of Clarity proc frequency. Unlike the old version, it primarily restricts healing spells rather than locking you out of most non-Balance utility.
The remaining 10 points in Restoration provide talents such as Nature’s Focus and Naturalist for additional reliability and damage.
41/0/10 remains preliminary. Balance builds around 38–41 points in the main tree are also being explored, so the supporting distribution may change once Level 60 raid encounters become testable.
Best Feral DPS Druid talents in WoW Forever

The best Feral DPS Druid talent build at Level 30 is 0/21/0.
This build focuses on Cat Form movement speed, lower Energy costs, Critical Strike chance, Attack Power, and additional Combo Point generation.

Ferocity lowers the cost of important Feral attacks, while Feral Swiftness increases Cat Form movement speed by 30% and also provides Dodge.
Sharpened Claws increases Critical Strike chance, which works especially well with Blood Frenzy. Generator critical strikes can provide an additional Combo Point, allowing Cat Form to reach finishers much faster.
Leader of the Pack becomes the final Level 30 point and increases Critical Strike chance for both you and nearby party members.
Feral DPS Druid leveling talents
For Feral DPS Druid leveling, use:
|
Levels |
Talent progression |
|---|---|
|
10–14 |
Ferocity 5/5 |
|
15–17 |
Heart of the Wild 3/5 |

25–27 |
Predatory Strikes 3/3 |
|
28–29 |
Blood Frenzy 2/2 |
|
30 |
Leader of the Pack 1/1 |
You will spend Levels 10–19 primarily in Bear Form, since Cat Form does not become available until Level 20. Once Cat Form unlocks, Feral becomes considerably faster for normal questing.
Cat Form uses Energy rather than Mana, allowing you to deal damage without draining the same resource used for healing. After a difficult fight, you can shift out, heal yourself, then return to Cat Form and continue pulling.
Feral Swiftness also provides one of the largest leveling advantages available to any early talent build: 30% increased movement speed in Cat Form before you gain many of the game’s later travel options.
Level 60 Feral DPS Druid build
A strong preliminary Level 60 Feral DPS build is 7/35/9.
Deep Feral eventually provides:
- Predatory Instincts
- King of the Jungle
- Rend and Tear
- Berserk
- Blood Frenzy
- Leader of the Pack
- Predatory Strikes
King of the Jungle improves Tiger’s Fury by restoring a large amount of Energy, while Rend and Tear increases melee ability damage against bleeding enemies.
Berserk becomes the major deep-Feral offensive cooldown, working especially well with Blood Frenzy and the spec’s Combo Point generation.
The supporting Balance points improve periodic damage and Critical Strike chance, while Restoration adds Furor and Naturalist for shapeshifting and general damage.
7/35/9 should be treated as a preliminary DPS direction, since later Beta tuning can still change the value of deeper Feral talents.
Best Feral Tank Druid talents in WoW Forever

The best Feral Tank Druid build at Level 30 is also 0/21/0, but the individual talent choices shift toward Bear Form.
For a Bear-focused setup, use:
|
Talent |
Points |
|---|---|
|
Ferocity |
5/5 |
|
Heart of the Wild |
1/5 |
|
Feral Swiftness |

Sharpened Claws |
2/2 |
|
Primal Bite |
1/1 |
|
Predatory Strikes |
3/3 |
|
Leader of the Pack |
1/1 |
Feral Instinct increases Swipe damage, making it particularly useful for maintaining threat against multiple dungeon enemies. Ferocity reduces the Rage cost of Bear attacks, while Feral Charge gives you a reliable gap closer and interrupt.
Primal Bite adds another Bear attack to your toolkit, giving Feral tanks a more active Rage rotation than original Classic Druids had at comparable levels.
Players who are tanking constantly can also move points into Thick Hide for additional Bear survivability.
Feral Tank Druid leveling talents
For a Bear-focused Feral Tank leveling build, use:
|
Levels |
Talent progression |
|---|---|
|
10–14 |
Ferocity 5/5 |
|
15–16 |
Feral Swiftness 2/2 |
|
17–19 |
Feral Instinct 3/3 |
|
20 |
Feral Charge 1/1 |
|
21–22 |
Savage Fury 2/2 |
|
23–24 |
Sharpened Claws 2/2 |
|
25 |
Primal Bite 1/1 |
|
26–28 |
Predatory Strikes 3/3 |
|
29 |
Heart of the Wild 1/5 |
|
30 |
Leader of the Pack 1/1 |
While tanking several enemies, Swipe provides your main multi-target threat, while Demoralizing Roar reduces incoming Physical damage and Growl acts as your taunt.
Enrage helps you begin a pull with Rage instead of waiting for enemies to hit you, while Feral Charge lets you quickly engage distant enemies or interrupt a caster.
Bear Form is also available significantly earlier than Cat Form, making tanking a natural option during Levels 10–19.
Level 60 Feral Tank Druid build
A strong preliminary Level 60 Feral Tank build is 0/46/5.
Deep Feral provides nearly every defensive and threat talent available:
- Heart of the Wild
- Thick Hide
- Feral Instinct
- Natural Reaction
- Primal Bite
- Rend and Tear
- Berserk
- Leader of the Pack
- Savage Fury
Natural Reaction is particularly important for tanking because it improves Dodge and generates Rage when you successfully dodge an attack. Lacerate also becomes part of the Bear toolkit, adding a stacking bleed designed around sustained threat.
The five Restoration points go into Furor, helping Bear Form begin with Rage after shifting.
A 9/42/0 style setup is another possible tanking direction, and it is currently one of the more commonly saved Feral distributions.
Until Level 60 raid bosses can actually be tested, the exact balance between maximum Feral investment and supporting-tree talents remains preliminary.
Best Restoration Druid talents in WoW Forever

The best Restoration Druid talent build at Level 30 is 0/0/21.

Nature’s Swiftness |

Nature’s Focus helps your healing casts resist pushback, while Naturalist reduces Healing Touch’s cast time.
Reflection allows 50% of normal Mana regeneration to continue while casting, making it one of the most valuable early dungeon-healing talents.
Swiftmend is another major Forever improvement. It instantly heals a target with Rejuvenation or Regrowth for the full periodic value without consuming the HoT.
Restoration Druid leveling talents
For Restoration Druid leveling, use:

Nature’s Swiftness 1/1 |
This build is primarily intended for dungeon healing.
Rejuvenation and Regrowth provide ongoing healing, Swiftmend handles sudden damage, and Healing Touch remains your large direct heal.
At Level 30, Nature’s Swiftness gives you an additional emergency button by making your next Nature spell instant.
Restoration can still quest between dungeons because Naturalist also increases your damage, but Feral remains considerably faster for dedicated solo leveling.
Level 60 Restoration Druid build
A strong preliminary Level 60 Restoration Druid build is 11/0/40.
Deep Restoration adds:
- Wild Growth
- Improved Regrowth
- Living Spirit
- Improved Tranquility
- Swiftmend
- Nature’s Swiftness
- Additional Mana and healing talents
Wild Growth becomes the defining endgame addition. It heals the selected target and nearby party members over several seconds, finally giving Restoration a repeatable group-healing HoT.
The 11 Balance points strengthen Restoration’s HoTs through Genesis while also providing Nature’s Majesty and Nature’s Splendor.
Nature’s Splendor increases the duration of Rejuvenation and Regrowth, giving the healer more time before those effects need to be refreshed.
11/0/40 is our preliminary raid-healing direction, although nearby Restoration-heavy splits can move several points depending on whether you prioritize Mana efficiency, Regrowth, or additional utility.
Best Druid spec for leveling in WoW Forever
For general solo questing, Feral DPS is the best Druid leveling spec in WoW Forever.
Cat Form does not rely on Mana for normal attacks, letting you reserve Mana for healing and shapeshifting. Feral Swiftness also provides 30% increased Cat Form movement speed, significantly reducing travel time while questing.
Feral is also exceptionally flexible. You can deal damage in Cat Form, switch to Bear Form when additional survivability is needed, and heal yourself between pulls without changing your talent build.
Balance is the best alternative for players who prefer ranged combat. Improved Wrath, Entangling Roots, Insect Swarm, and eventually Eclipse create a much more complete caster leveling experience than original Classic Balance.
Restoration is best for players who plan to level primarily through dungeon healing, while a Bear-focused Feral build is ideal for frequent dungeon tanking.

WoW Forever also makes shapeshifting far less restrictive across every Druid build. Forms can use more consumables and racial abilities, weapon effects can matter while shapeshifted, and Druids can interact with more objects without repeatedly returning to caster form.
Weapon upgrades also matter more for Feral than before, with Cat and Bear attacks interacting directly with weapon damage in Forever.
And that wraps up our WoW Forever Druid talents guide.
