Let’s talk about Nonary Manifold. This new currency in Destiny 2’s Rite of the Nine can be earned and spent right now, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. The game hints at greater rewards for your Nonary Manifold in the future, beyond just farming Rite of the Nine weapons (which is all it does for now).

So, let’s dive deep into everything we know: where to get it, how to farm Nonary Manifold efficiently, and the best ways to spend it.
What is Nonary Manifold in Destiny 2

Nonary Manifold is a bonus reward currency that can be traded at the Third Spire for loot.
This is how the game officially describes Nonary Manifold:
“A mysterious currency that can be redeemed in Eternity for rewards offered by the Nine.
Though you can spend them as soon as you gain them, there may be greater rewards in store for those who are patient…or perhaps this promise of plenty is merely an illusion. Who can say?”
— Destiny 2
This system might feel familiar – it works just like Onslaught’s Trophies of Bravery. Stock up on Nonary Manifold during the Rite of the Nine event to gear up faster, or save it for the mysterious future purpose the developers have hinted at.

How to get Nonary Manifold in Destiny 2
Currently, there are three known ways to farm Nonary Manifold in Destiny 2. Let’s examine each method in detail.
Nonary Manifold farming in Rite of the Nine
The easiest and straightforward method to farm Nonary Manifold currency is to just play Rite of the Nine dungeons. Every encounter you clear will give you a bunch of Nonary Manifolds, somewhere around 50 to 100. When you complete a dungeon, you will get around 200 Nonary Manifolds.
This method works for any Rite of the Nine difficulty: Explore, Eternity, or Ultimatum. So farming Nonary Manifold is quite easy, and there is no need to play perfectly or even complete the dungeons.
Emissary of The Nine bounties
Visit the Emissary of the Nine in the Third Spire every day to get a daily bounty. Completing it will give you 35 Nonary Manifolds. You can repeat bounties multiple times per day to get 15 additional Nonary Manifolds each time.
Nonary Manifold and Curio of the Nine exchange
If you have Curio of the Nine from Season 26, you can exchange it at a 1:32.5 ratio for Nonary Manifolds with The Emissary of the Nine in the Third Spire. Exchange all of them, as this is the only way to spend your Curio of the Nine.

How to spend Nonary Manifold in Rite of the Nine
The primary purpose of the Nonary Manifold is to help players acquire Rite of the Nine weapons, but that’s not the only way it can be used. Let’s break it down.
Get Rite of the Nine weapons for Nonary Manifold
Spend 250 Nonary Manifolds to open a weapon chest containing a random event weapon. There’s even a chance to receive an Adept version, though it won’t come with extra perk rolls.
Note
Wait for your weapon’s dungeon to be in rotation. The weapon chest only drops weapons that are currently available through the Rite of the Nine. During the first week (May 6–13), only Spire of the Watcher weapons are obtainable. In the second week (May 13–20), Ghosts of the Deep weapons will be added to the loot pool.
Starting with the Prophecy rotation on May 20, you’ll be able to farm any Rite of the Nine weapon using Nonary Manifolds.

Secret Nonary Manifold reward
The developers have hinted at a greater reward for Nonary Manifolds, but it’s still a secret for now. So, what exactly are the rewards? Is the secret reward better than the weapon chest for all players? And most importantly, how many Nonary Manifolds will it require?
There are too many unanswered questions, and unfortunately, we can’t give you a definitive recommendation yet. If you urgently need a Rite of the Nine weapon and can’t farm it fast enough during its dungeon rotation, it makes sense to focus on it and spend some of your Nonary Manifolds. Still, you might want to save a few Nonary Manifolds for whatever comes next.
Update
A new way to spend Nonary Manifolds will be introduced during the Lootapalooza event, running from July 8 to July 15. It’s the time to use your extra Manifolds, though what they’ll be used for remains a mystery.
We’ll update this article as new information becomes available, so stay tuned.

Conclusions
That’s everything we know so far about the Nonary Manifold currency in Destiny 2’ Rite of the Nine. We’ve covered how to farm Nonary Manifold and how to spend it. Hopefully, you’ll gather enough Nonary Manifolds to earn your Adept weapons, and to spend it on the secret reward that’s yet to be revealed.
