The community of dataminers studied PTR servers of the 11.1.0 patch and found new M+ Xal’atath affixes for TWW Season 2. The developers prepared some new mechanics for players to conquer. Xal’atath’s Bargain Oblivion rework: Meet Xal’atath’s Bargain Pulsar
One of the players’ least favorite Xal’atath’s Bargain to play with is certainly Xal’atath’s Bargain: Oblivion. This affix was buggy, very chaotic, and frustrating. Players often faced bugs when Oblivion Orbs were falling through the floor. Sometimes, their spawn was just too unfortunate, leaving M+ groups in unwinnable situations with no way of not empowering mobs. Shortly speaking, this affix was a pain for most Mythic Keystone players.
Now, with new datamined abilities, we can see that Blizzard is trying to rework this Xal’atath M+ affix into a more controllable and pleasant mechanic to handle. This might only be the beginning of the current Bargains’ rework. So here is what dataminers dug up from the game:
”Void Pulsar / Void Pulsar / Void Pulsar:
Summoned by Xal’atath, Void Pulsars start orbiting players and release their energy after 15 seconds, empowering all creatures. The empowerment increases outgoing damage by 10% and decreases incoming damage by 20%. This buff can stack.”— Wowhead
What we see here is an attempt to rework the most annoying aspects of Oblivion Bargain. This is controversial yet interesting, and it would bring players a new experience through a Season 2 Xal’atath’s affixes. Once these changes get to live servers, players will have better control of such a strong Xal’atath’ Bargain. Choosing where the buff eruption will appear is crucial in many situations. No more annoying Oblivion Orbs collecting, only you, your party, and your skill.
