Rumor: Blizzard Games May Return to China in April 2024

According to CN Wire’s report, NetEase and Blizzard Entertainment have reached a mutual agreement. The two gaming giants are now gearing up to make an official announcement regarding the revival of their collaboration. And, along with it, the the reintroduction of Blizzard’s games to the Chinese market on April 10.

In support of this claim, CN Wire has released a leaked photograph from the meeting. In the image, NetEase CEO Ding Lei is visibly present alongside what appears to be Blizzard’s new President, Johanna Faries.

This isn’t the first instance where speculation about a reconciliation between NetEase and Blizzard has surfaced. As early as December of last year, similar rumors circulated regarding their potential collaboration. At the time of writing, there has yet to be any official information from Blizzard or NetEase. However, this development instills hope among Chinese players who still cherish Blizzard’s renowned titles like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, Hearthstone, and many others.
