SoD Phase 3 brings a host of new features and updates. Among them is a brand-new outdoor PvE event named Nightmare Incursions. What exactly are they, and what can you expect to see from this event? Let’s take a look!

What Are SoD Phase 3 Nightmare Incursions

Nightmare Incursions are new PvE outdoor activities in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery. To start the event, interact with the Field Captain NPCs located near dream portals in the following locations:

Duskwood. Coordinates: [46, 38]
Ashenvale. Coordinates: [93, 38]
Feralas. Coordinates: [51, 11]
Hinterlands. Coordinates: [63, 24]

Receive their quests, which typically involve clearing out demons infesting each zone. After completing these initial tasks, the Field Captain will give you random missions. You will then be sent into the portals, where you must defeat enemies, gather resources, or defeat a particular boss.

Nightmare Incursions are elite quests meant for group play. While some missions can be completed solo, others require a diverse group of characters. So, it’s best to form a group of three to five players. This way, each member gets their own mission, which can be shared with up to four others. Working together, your group can finish more missions in one go, earning more reputation and experience than if you played solo.

Nightmare Incursions Level Requirement

To be able to take part in Nightmare Incursions, you must reach specific levels for specific content:

Level 25: Duskwood content
Level 40: Ashenvale content
Level 50: Feralas and Hinterlands content

The Emerald Wardens: New SoD Faction

SoD Phase 3 Nightmare Incursions also introduce a new faction: the Emerald Wardens. Completing quests not only grants XP but also earns you reputation with them. Reaching Friendly, Honored, Revered, and Exalted with the Emerald Wardens will strengthen your standings and unlock a treasure trove of rewards.
