Blizzard is rolling out more quality-of-life improvements in The War Within Patch 11.1.5. The latest addition is the Radiant Lynx Whistle, a handy new toy unlocked through the Flame’s Radiance Renown track. With it, you can access your mail from anywhere in the world, and no mount is required.
Radiant Lynx Whistle mailbox toy
The Radiant Lynx Whistle summons a red courier lynx for 10 minutes. During this time, the owner and nearby players can send and receive mail freely. It has a 3-hour cooldown, which currently doesn’t overlap with other mail toys. However, this may change in the future since mail-related toys often function the same way.
How to get Radiant Lynx Whistle
To get the Radiant Lynx Whistle toy, you need to reach Renown 6 with the Flame’s Radiance faction. Once you hit that milestone, you can buy the Radiant Lynx Whistle for 5,000 gold from Lars Bronsmaelt, the Flame’s Radiance Quartermaster. You can find Lars at coordinates [28.2, 56.1].

Other mailbox toys in WoW
The Radiant Lynx Whistle isn’t the only toy that gives you access to a mailbox on the go. Here are some other mail toys you might want to check out:
- MOLL-E. Engineers can craft this portable mailbox. It lasts for 10 minutes and has a one-hour cooldown.
- Katy’s Stampwhistle. You can earn this toy by completing the lengthy Lost Mail questline from Legion.
- Ohuna Perch. Unlocked at Renown level 14 with the Maruuk Centaur in Dragonflight.
All of these toys—MOLL-E, Katy’s Stampwhistle, Ohuna Perch—share an overlapping cooldown.
If you own the Reins of the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur, you don’t need to worry about mailbox cooldowns. The mount comes with a built-in mailbox that’s available anytime you summon it. That said, mailbox toys become a lot more handy in areas where mounts aren’t allowed.
