Unlike Season 2, which featured five Midnight dungeons and three returning instances, Season 3 leans much more heavily into legacy content. Season 2 official pool contained Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, King’s Rest, Ruby Life Pools, and Temple of Sethraliss.
Midnight Season 3 rotation dungeons
The Season 3 pool combines a completely new Patch 12.2 dungeon with two familiar Midnight instances and five returning dungeons spanning more than a decade of WoW.
Thraegar’s Stand
Thraegar’s Stand is the only completely new dungeon in the Midnight Season 3 rotation.
Introduced in Patch 12.2 Eclipse, it is a three-boss dungeon and will join Mythic+ as part of Season 3. Blizzard has not yet revealed its complete boss list, loot table, mechanics, or timer.
- Expansion: Midnight
- Bosses: 3
- Mythic+ debut: Season 3
- Timer: TBA
- Location: TBA
We’ll update this section once Blizzard reveals more information about Thraegar’s Stand.
Magister’s Terrace
Magister’s Terrace returns to Mythic+ after appearing in Midnight Season 1.
Midnight rebuilt and expanded the iconic Quel’Danas dungeon, including areas that were inaccessible in its original Burning Crusade version. Its return gives players another chance to earn its Mythic+ rewards and dungeon teleport if they skipped Season 1.
- Expansion: Midnight
- Previous Midnight M+ appearance: Season 1
- Location: Quel’Danas
Maisara Cavern
Maisara Cavern also returns from Midnight Season 1 for the Season 3 rotation.
The dungeon was one of four Midnight instances used during the expansion’s first Mythic+ season, alongside Magister’s Terrace, Nexus-Point Xenas, and Windrunner Spire. Players who already learned the dungeon during Season 1 should have a useful head start, although Season 3 tuning may change routes and priority mechanics.
- Expansion: Midnight
- Previous Midnight M+ appearance: Season 1
- Location: Harandar
The Underrot
The Underrot returns from Battle for Azeroth.
Located beneath Nazmir, this dungeon takes players into a corrupted Titan facility overrun by rot and Blood Troll forces. The Underrot is particularly well known among Mythic+ players for its open routing possibilities and dangerous trash packs, making route planning especially important at higher Keystone levels.
- Expansion: Battle for Azeroth
- Bosses: 4
- Location: Nazmir
Iron Docks
Iron Docks returns from Warlords of Draenor.
The dungeon takes place at the Iron Horde’s naval stronghold in Gorgrond and features several large trash areas alongside four bosses. Iron Docks has appeared in modern seasonal dungeon rotations before, but Season 3 will once again adapt it to the current Mythic+ environment.
- Expansion: Warlords of Draenor
- Bosses: 4
- Location: Gorgrond
Sanguine Depths
One of Shadowlands most memorable Mythic+ dungeons, Sanguine Depths, is also returning.
The Venthyr dungeon is known for narrow corridors, tightly packed enemy groups, and encounters that can quickly punish positioning mistakes. Its inclusion should provide a very different experience from the more open dungeons in the Season 3 rotation.
- Expansion: Shadowlands
- Bosses: 4
- Location: Revendreth
The Stonecore
The Stonecore makes its Mythic+ debut as part of Midnight Season 3.
Originally introduced in Cataclysm, the dungeon is located deep within Deepholm and contains some particularly recognizable encounters for veteran WoW players. Because Stonecore predates Mythic+ by several expansions, Blizzard will need to adapt its encounters and enemy packs for the modern dungeon system.
- Expansion: Cataclysm
- Bosses: 4
- Location: Deepholm
- Mythic+ debut: Midnight Season 3
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr
Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr returns from Dragonflight.
Unlike the original Classic Uldaman, Legacy of Tyr is the modern five-boss version introduced alongside Dragonflight and built around Titan history. Its Titan theme also fits particularly well with Patch 12.2, which sends players into the ancient Mantle Vault and sets up the transition from Midnight toward The Last Titan.
- Expansion: Dragonflight
- Bosses: 5
- Location: Badlands
