  • Patch 12.1.5 introduces mounts from several different sources, including a vendor, the new Labyrinth Delve, the Trading Post, and the in-game Shop.
  • Sporebearer Fungal Strider costs 5,000,000 gold and features customizable utility NPCs. Fully unlocking its currently available utility options costs 7,000,000 gold.
  • Loa-Blessed Wayfarer is earned by defeating Kindo’jan solo on Tier 11 during Midnight Season 2.

World of Warcraft Patch 12.1.5 is bringing another collection of mounts for players to chase. Current PTR datamining has revealed new utility mounts, a challenging Delve reward, Trading Post mounts, an unusual Shop mount, and several models whose sources have not yet been confirmed.

Because Patch 12.1.5 is still on the PTR, some mount names, costs, and acquisition methods may change before release. Several sources are already clearly established, however, including the expensive Sporebearer Fungal Strider and the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer from the new Labyrinth of Kindo’jan.

Now let’s take a closer look at the Patch 12.1.5 mounts.

Sporebearer Fungal Strider

Sporebearer Fungal Strider has the most detailed acquisition method of any Patch 12.1.5 mount currently known. Players will need to travel to The Den in Harandar and find Showena, who sells the mount for 5,000,000 gold. There are no reputation, achievement, or drop requirements currently associated with purchasing it.

Buying the mount gives you two utility options immediately:

  1. Mailbox
  2. Repair vendor

Two additional utility NPCs can then be purchased:

This makes the total cost 7,000,000 gold if you want the mount and every utility option currently available.

The Fungal Strider has two NPC passenger slots. Speak with Hoshena in The Den whenever you want to change which unlocked utility NPCs appear on your mount. Collectors should also keep the time limit in mind. Blizzard plans to sell the mount only until the end of Midnight. The extra NPC unlocks are not planned to disappear when the mount is removed from the vendor.

Purchasing the mount also grants the Fungal Not Frugal Feat of Strength.

Patch 12.1.5 Delve mount

Getting Loa-Blessed Wayfarer requires completing one of the patch’s major solo challenges inside the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan. First, players will need to progress through the Labyrinth difficulty system. Completing at least three chambers is used to unlock higher difficulty tiers, eventually giving access to Tier 11.

Once Tier 11 is available, you need to:

  1. Enter the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan without another player in your party.
  2. Play on Tier 11.
  3. Reach Kindo’jan.
  4. Defeat Kindo’jan while still playing solo.
  5. Complete the requirement during Midnight Season 2.

Doing so completes Let Me Solo Him: Kindo’jan and rewards the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount.

There is no first-week requirement for the mount itself in the currently datamined achievement. The separate first-reset challenge rewards the Fabled Vanquisher of The First Hash’ey title instead, so players interested only in the mount should not need to rush the challenge during Patch 12.1.5’s opening week.

Patch 12.1.5 Trading Post mounts

Patch 12.1.5 adds one of the stranger new mount families in the form of the Hot Motocross Bunmovers. These mounts combine a motorcycle-style vehicle with an oversized baked bun and appear to be part of the patch’s wider chef and food-themed cosmetic collection.

Four variants have currently been datamined:

All four have been associated with the Trading Post in PTR datamining. The exact monthly rotation has not been revealed, so there is currently no confirmed date for when each version will become available.

Living Heartsbane Cauldron

The Living Heartsbane Cauldron is another unusual mount coming with Patch 12.1.5. Its design uses the wicker and witchcraft aesthetic associated with the Drust, turning a large animated cauldron into a flying mount.

Current PTR information identifies the Living Heartsbane Cauldron as an In-Game Shop mount. No price, bundle details, or release date have been confirmed yet. Because the acquisition method currently appears to be a direct Shop purchase, there is no additional gameplay requirement known at this time.

Patch 12.1.5 unknown source mounts

A few Patch 12.1.5 mounts have models or database entries but still lack finalized acquisition information.

Given the major Aqir Invasion feature coming in Patch 12.1.5, the Corrupted Swarmer’s theme certainly fits the patch’s outdoor content. However, no direct connection between the mount and Aqir Invasions has been confirmed, so its source should remain listed as TBA for now.

Venomous Abyss Heroic boost
