Neighborhood zones and plot layouts

Players will be able to own houses in one of two main zones: Founder’s Point for the Alliance and Razorwind Shores for the Horde. Each WoW Housing Neighborhood includes around 50 house plots. These plots vary in location and environment: some are placed in secluded corners, while others are grouped together for a more social experience.

Biomes range from dark forests and farmland to coastal cliffs and lush green spaces. Each zone has a central hub with active NPCs and unique events.

Blizzard emphasizes that spacing is key. Plots come with yard space for decorations, and the layout prevents visual overlap between neighbors.

Public and private Neighborhood options

There are two types of WoW Housing Neighborhoods:

Each private neighborhood has tools for managing access and membership. Guild leaders or Charter admins can control who joins, assign roles, and handle group-wide settings.

Customization and moving houses

Players can move freely between neighborhoods. If someone chooses to relocate, their house state is saved. This allows easy transitions without losing progress. There’s also a short cooldown period for moving back if they change their mind.

As for privacy, every house and yard has individual permission settings. You can allow or block access from friends, guildmates, neighbors, or all players, making it easy to host events or keep things private.

Monthly Endeavors and shared progress

A key feature of WoW Housing Neighborhoods is a monthly event system called Endeavors. These are shared goals that involve tasks like crafting, gathering, questing, and dungeon runs.

Completing Endeavor tasks unlocks themed decorations and brings new NPCs to the zone. The entire neighborhood changes visually based on the current event. Rewards include currency used to buy decorations and Neighborhood Favor, which upgrades your house.

Private neighborhoods can choose from a list of Endeavors. Public neighborhoods receive them based on game-wide scheduling. Task difficulty scales with neighborhood activity and size to keep things fair and achievable.

What this means for players

The Housing system gives players many ways to engage:

With more updates planned for launch, Blizzard promises that WoW Housing will be one of the most customizable and community-focused systems they’ve introduced in years.
