WoW Dracthyr Evokers Have No Tanking Spec. Here’s Why

As many are aware, the Dracthyr Evokers are elite soldiers created by Neltharion. They can wield the powers of all five dragonflights. However, players noticed that something was missing. The Devastation DPS spec focused on red and blue dragon magic. While the Restoration healing spec uses green and bronze dragon magic. They have already got slots as DPS and Healers in a group for dungeons and raids. But according to such logic, what black-dragonflight-themed spec do they have? Shouldn’t it be something that allows them to fill in the role of a tank?
Recently, dedicated gamers have discovered some interesting journal entries in Patch 10.0.7 PTR. They belong to a black dragon scientist named Adamanthia. She revealed she had removed the black dragonflight essence from the draconic warriors. She was concerned doing so might permanently cripple their abilities. But what’s done is done.
As a result, Neltharion soldiers’ absence of earth-themed spec is probably explained. Thus, a new question arose. With the black dragonflight essence taken from them, will players have the chance to retrieve it? If so, is it possible to unlock a new type of Evoker?
In the end, we will still need to wait for Blizzard’s official confirmation. After all, there is no evidence that the developers plan to do so. They have confirmed that Dracthyr may be able to combine with other classes besides Evoker in the future. Therefore, if Dracthyrs choose to play a different class, they will definitely have access to a tanking specialization.
