This upcoming event sends players back to the Legion expansion to confront the Dark Titan once more. As a reward, the new Rites of the Felsoul mount will be granted, though its final appearance is still undisclosed. Let’s break down what we know so far.
What is meta-achievement
A meta-achievement is a large, account-wide achievement that requires completing a series of smaller achievements. It typically involves finishing all major story content from a previous expansion, including raids, dungeons, and questlines, as well as tasks like Azerothian Diplomat and Maximum Effort. These achievements can be time-consuming, especially if you haven’t played the targeted expansion before. As a reward, players receive a unique mount.
Currently, there are meta-achievements for Battle for Azeroth, Shadowlands, and Dragonflight. And in some time, Legion will join the list.

Ashes to Ashes removed from PTR for Patch 11.1.7

In the first build of the Patch 11.1.7 PTR, dataminers discovered a new Legion-themed meta-achievement titled Ashes to Ashes. This achievement promised the Rites of the Felsoul mount as a reward and appeared to include objectives inspired by the Battle for Azeroth meta-achievement A Farewell to Arms. It also listed several Legion raid achievements as completion requirements.
However, in the most recent PTR update, Ashes to Ashes has been completely removed. Blizzard has not provided any official explanation for its removal, but its absence strongly suggests that it will not be included in the 11.1.7 content release.
While no clear reason has been given, the removal may indicate that Blizzard plans to align the release of this achievement with the upcoming Legion Remix event. Until then, players will have to wait for more information.

How to get Rites of the Felsoul mount
The only way to get Rites of the Felsoul mount is to complete Ashes to Ashes meta-achievement.
We don’t yet know what the Rites of the Felsoul mount will look like, but it’s likely to be a Legion-themed creature, perhaps a Felhound, Felbat, or Warp Stalker. If the developers go all out, we might even see something inspired by a Fel Reaver, Annihilan, or Nathrezim.
