Edge of Fate plot leaks (spoilers!)

The following information is based on unofficial leaks and may contain major spoilers for the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion. However, none of this is confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.
- A mysterious Pre-Golden Age train crashes into The Last City—though only partially, as it arrives through an unstable portal. This event marks the beginning of a journey into a new, uncharted destination.
- A key figure in this narrative is a character named Lodi, who is either aboard the train or somehow connected to it. Interestingly, a calling card linked to the Nine is found in association with Lodi, suggesting deeper ties to the Nine.
- The origin of the portal is traced back to a newly discovered planet, currently referred to as “Keplar”—a likely placeholder name, possibly inspired by the generic use of Kepler planets in astronomical contexts.
- Upon arriving at this destination, the other half of the derailed train is located. There, players encounter another mysterious character, reportedly a former member of the Nine.
- The planet itself exhibits signs of severe temporal distortion. Time does not flow normally, and this instability appears to be linked to the presence of the Vex, well-known for their manipulation of time. Alongside the Vex, the Fallen also appear to be one of the primary enemy factions players will face.
- According to the emerging narrative, the Guardian is brought to this fractured world as a result of a yet-unexplained incident involving the Nine.
The expansion’s story will unfold in a nonlinear format, allowing players to explore multiple narrative threads at their own pace. These include:
- A storyline centered on Osiris and a mysterious individual discovered aboard the train.
- Conflict with a powerful Fallen House, which is positioned as a central antagonist.
- An investigation led by Ikora Rey into the origins and motives of Lodi.
- A subplot involving the Drifter and his ship.
- A Vex-themed raid, seemingly tied to their presence on the distorted planet.
This experimental narrative structure aims to provide a fresh storytelling experience, allowing players to engage with different perspectives and missions as they uncover the secrets behind The Edge of Fate.
