Destiny 2 Lightfall Trailer Release: New Subclass and More

1 min read 0 0

The long-awaited trailer for Destiny 2’s upcoming expansion, Lightfall, has been released. It gives players a glimpse of the secret city Neomuna, the subclass Strand, the Cloud Striders, and the foes looming on the horizon.

NEOMUNA

The city is a sprawling metropolis, a futuristic vision of towering skyscrapers and vibrant neon lights. Situated on Neptune, Neomuna managed to conceal itself during the war of Light and Darkness. Yet, it couldn’t escape Calus’s grasp.

Besieged by the Witness’s Disciple and his Shadow Legion, Neomuna needs your help more than ever. It’s time to band with other Guardians to push back the invasion and take on enemies like the Cabal troopers and the menacing Tormentors.

THE LATEST SUBCLASS

Along with new enemies and locations to explore, the trailer also shows glimpses of the brand-new Darkness subclass.

Under the name of “Strand,” the subclass will grant each class the following:

THE NEW FRIENDLY FACTION

New allies have emerged to aid the Guardians in their fight against the forces of the Witness and Calus. The Cloud Striders have made their first appearance. They are set to play a crucial role in defending Neomuna alongside players.

THE MAIN ANTAGONISTS

As stated above, Calus will no doubt play an essential role in Lightfall. His presence is heavy in the trailer. Some even speculate that his defeat could be the focus of a new raid.

On the other hand, the Lightfall leaks have correctly predicted the introduction of the new subclass and the appearance of the friendly faction. Given its accuracy, the leaks may also be true regarding the Witness. If so, seeing the powerful being behind Calus in action will be more than fascinating.

Lightfall’s release date is set on February 28. Players still have over a month to wrap up their adventure in Season of the Seraph. PvP fans can look forward to one more round of a more rewarding Iron Banner set to return on January 31.
