Destiny 2’s Latest Weapon Dominates PvP in Under 72 Hours
The latest Immortal Legendary Strand kinetic submachine gun has been wreaking havoc in Destiny 2 PvP recently. Its Adept version, released during the March 17 reset for the Trials of Osiris (ToO) activity, has become the most used weapon in under 72 hours.
WHAT MAKES IT SO POPULAR?
Over the weekend, about 10% of all ToO takedowns were carried out using either the Adept or non-Adept version of The Immortal. This firearm’s widespread use can be attributed to its potent perks, such as Rangefinder and Target Lock. The first enhances effective range and zoom magnification. While the latter scales damage based on the duration for which the gun remains fixed on a target.
HOW TO GET
Players can get The Immortal (Adept) by winning seven matches in a row in ToO, known as going Flawless. Or, if they are unable to accomplish this, they always have to option to grind for the firearm as a reward from Saint-14.
POTENTIAL NERF
However, players who have owned the weapon are already anticipating a nerf due to its jaw-dropping power. And to add, Bungie has promised a midseason balance patch coming soon to Lightfall. The data shown in Trials of Osiris are no doubt will be taken into consideration.
Guardians who wish to obtain the submachine gun will have until March 21 to farm for it. With Season of the Deep drawing near, there’s no time better than now to gear up and get ready to face the adversary ahead.
