The Swift Spectral Tiger Mount Won’t Be Returning
Sitting down in an interview with EU Content Creators, Ion Hazzikostas clarified that the highly sought-after mount: Swift Spectral Tiger, will not be coming back through promotions. While some may be disappointed by this announcement as they were eagerly anticipating the return of the reins, long-time collectors can breathe a sigh of relief. The news ensures that their cherished item won’t lose its value anytime soon.
The Swift Spectral Tiger is a highly coveted and sought-after WoW mount due to its rarity and stunning appearance. Originally available as a loot card in the Trading Card Game (TCG), it has since gained popularity among players. However, due to its scarcity, the mount is priced at a starting price of $4,799.
According to the Game Director, TCG items were always given out as a way of promoting the game. It didn’t seem fair that players could only obtain these by purchasing them at inflated prices on third-party websites. In a move to level the playing field, certain old items that were once unattainable for players or regions where the game was unavailable are now being made accessible. This approach seeks to provide equal opportunities for everyone.
That being said, there are also exceptions. In the interview, Hazzikostas brought up the Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger, which holds a special place in the hearts of many. The developers understand that it’s a highly treasured item in the game. Taking away its rarity overnight would be unjust to the present owners. Therefore, they will take extreme care with decisions regarding its availability. He also emphasized that he wouldn’t expect this mount to randomly drop through any promotion.
