WoW: Dragonflight has made its presence known among the highly-anticipated finalists of the DICE Awards.

The DICE Awards is an annual event. Hosted by The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, it’s one of the most prestigious events in the industry. This is an occasion to celebrate the achievements of game developers, designers, and artists. The 2023 ceremony is set to take place on February 23 and will be broadcast live from Las Vegas.

As a Best RPG Game of the Year nominee, WoW: Dragonflight’s fate is to face fierce competition from other contenders.

Citizen Sleeper, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Weird West are all strong in their own right. But Elden Ring is the final boss. After all, the game has been sweeping awards left and right, excelling in art, audio, and storytelling.

Blizzard also has another nominee in the running. Diablo Immortal has been nominated for Mobile Game of the Year.

It will face off against other contenders such as Gibbon: Beyond the Trees, MARVEL SNAP, Poinpy, and IMMORTALITY.

CoD: Modern Warfare II is also making a solid showing. It’s received nominations in several categories.

The game has received recognition in Characters, Audio Design, and Art Direction. It’s even aiming for the prestigious Game of the Year title. It will be intriguing to see how it stacks up against the competition and if it has what it takes to claim the top spot.

There is still more than a month until the event takes place. Check out the full list of categories and nominees here. Which candidate do you think is the most deserving of each of these categories?
