SoD Level 50 Raid Is Leaked: The Temple of Atal'Hakkar

Key Takeaways

  • SoD level 50 raid is leaked to be Temple of Atal’Hakkar, the Sunken Temple.
  • The dungeon’s capacity has been increased to accommodate ten players.
  • A 3-day lockout period has been implemented. Its lock ID aligns with its role as the next raid in the game.

WoW developers recently announced that both the SoD level 50 and 60 raids will be for 20-player groups. While Molten Core is widely known to be the raid for level 60, details about the level 50 raid are still shrouded in secrecy. However, a recent leak has suggested the identity of said raid, and it’s none other than the Temple of Atal’Hakkar.

The Temple of Atal’Hakkar, also known as the Sunken Temple, is dedicated to the blood god, Hakkar. The dungeon is situated in a vast lake at the heart of the Swamp of Sorrows, serving as an instance for players from level 50-55 in WoW Classic. Anticipation is building for its arrival in the Season of Discovery after Warcraft Tavern’s Classic Era datamining discoveries. Their recent findings revealed that the Temple of Atal’Hakkar now enforces a 3-day lockout. In addition, its lock ID aligns with its role as the next raid in the game:

Blackfathom Deeps has a lock ID of 21, Gnomeregan is 22, and Sunken Temple is 23. This is a strong clue that the instance is being made into the level-up raid for Phase 3 when we reach level 50.”

Warcraft Tavern also mentioned an expansion in the dungeon’s capacity. Now, it’s able to accommodate ten players instead of the previous five. However, this adjustment contradicts the developers’ statement confirming the level 50 raid for 20 players. Thus, raising the questions about the developers’ intentions moving forward.

Will the Sunken Temple serve as the ultimate raid for phase 3? Or will SoD’s third phase introduce two raids? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
