If “What are Runes in SoD?” and “Where to get all Warrior Runes in SoD?” are your questions, then you are in the right place.

Runes are a new gameplay mechanic in SoD. It offers additional spells and abilities, allowing you to transform the playstyle of your character’s class. These Runes are scattered throughout the open world, obtainable through various sources. Most Runes are accessible to characters of any race or faction, except those tied to specific quests or faction-friendly mobs.

There are 12 Runes for each class in Phase 1, 6 to 7 Runes in Phase 2, 6 to 7 Runes in Phase 3, additional 3 Runes in Phase 4. At the moment of writing, there are no new Runes in Phase 5. Previously, we have discussed all SoD Warlock Runes and their locations. You can check it out here:

SoD Phase 5

SoD Phase 5: Simplified Rune discovery

Previously, some runes could be hard to unlock due to high requirements or needed content being outdated, making it hard to find fellow travelers. But now, with the release of new Phase 5, Pix Xizzix in Booty Bay also makes bind-on-account tokens available for characters who have finished certain shared discoveries, such as the Dark Riders, Wild Gods, Ley Lines, or Illari Duskfeather. Simply purchase the relevant emblem and mail it to an alt character to redeem at a special Rune Broker in Stormwind and Orgrimmar for their appropriate class rune. Here are emblems that can be used by Warriors:

SoD Phase 5: New Runes

Sadly, there are now new Warrior Runes in SoD Phase 5. Healing Specialization and Meditation Specialization Ring Runes were added in Phase 5. These Ring Runes are universal for multiple classes and are earned the same way. Both Runes are account-bind and can be transferred to other characters. To find out more about how to get them — check our:

All Warrior Runes in Season of Discovery Phase 4

In Season of Discovery Phase 4, Warriors had three new Runes to strengthen their power. Below, you’ll find a comprehensive list of all Warrior Runes and their locations. Detailed instructions on acquiring these Runes are also provided for your convenience.

How to get Fresh Meat Rune in SoD

How to Get Fresh Meat Rune in SoD

Fresh Meat: Damaging a target with Bloodthirst has a 100% chance the first time and a 10% chance each subsequent time to Enrage you (activating abilities which requiring being Enraged), and cause you to deal 10% increased Physical damage for 12 sec.

How to get Fresh Meat:

  1. Travel to the Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steps at [43, 36].
  2. Defeat 5 enemies consecutively within the Blackrock Stronghold to gain the Rhythm of War buff. The exact number of mobs needed may vary, but orc mobs are generally recommended.
  3. Proceed to the altar behind the keep at coordinates [39, 27].
  4. Use the /salute emote in front of the altar to spawn the 60-level Revered Champion.
  5. Defeat the Revered Champion to earn the Rune of the First Warrior. While it is possible to defeat him alone, it is advisable to have additional allies for an easier battle.

How to get Sudden Death Rune in SoD

How to Get Sudden Death Rune in SoD

Sudden Death: Your melee hits have a 10% chance to grant Sudden Death. Sudden Death allows one use of Execute regardless of the target’s health state. When Execute is enabled by Sudden Death, you will retain 10 rage after using Execute.

How to get Sudden Death:

  1. Before starting your Timeless Wanderer’s Insights journey, you must be at level 60 or at least 55+. When ready, navigate to Settings, General, and set the Minimum Character Name Size to the highest possible value.
  2. Then, create the following macro:
/targetexact Wandering Swordsman
/targetlasttarget [dead]
  1. Now, travel to Silithus and repeatedly use this macro. It will allow you to target the Wandering Swordsman from a great distance quickly.
  2. Once you find him, converse and pick up the Infinite Midnight quest.
  3. Select a difficulty level before being teleported to the Khonsu boss platform. Many players have confirmed that you will receive the Rune regardless of the difficulty level, including Easy. Still, we recommend choosing Medium, as it is the requirement to unlock the Rune.
  4. Before the fight, equip yourself with the Rune of Victory Rush to heal yourself by using Victory Rush after defeating Khonsu‘s ads.
  5. Additionally, Khonsu has three abilities to be aware of:
  • Cleave: When Khonsu uses this ability, avoid the red area on the platform by jumping to the opposite side.
  • Thunderclap: Khonsu will summon purple circles on the ground, pushing you back and knocking you off the platform once the cast is complete. To avoid being knocked back, run to one of the pointy edges of the platform and face towards the Titanic Watcher. If you turn your back to him, you will be knocked back.
  • Astral Wraiths: Khonsu summons several Astral Wraiths around the platform’s edges. These Wraiths cast a targeted Starfall ability, which you can avoid by not standing in the rays of light. There’s no need to defeat the Wraiths quickly; focus on avoiding the Starfalls.

Avoid these three mechanics, and you’ll be able to defeat Khonsu. Every 30 seconds, he gains a debuff stack that dramatically increases the damage he takes, so pace yourself.

Another reward that can be obtained is Sun Shades, similar to Radiant Ray Reflectors. To get Sun Shades, you must defeat Khonsu at a High difficulty level. This will impose the Perfect Astral Victory effect on you, which tracks the number of wins over the boss at a High level of difficulty without defeats and is a requirement for equipping the item.

It’s also important to note that only one person can fight the boss. Once someone interacts with the Wandering Swordsman, they will be teleported to the boss, and the NPC will disappear until the person fighting the boss either wins or dies.
