How to get Fresh Meat:
- Travel to the Blackrock Stronghold in Burning Steps at [43, 36].
- Defeat 5 enemies consecutively within the Blackrock Stronghold to gain the Rhythm of War buff. The exact number of mobs needed may vary, but orc mobs are generally recommended.
- Proceed to the altar behind the keep at coordinates [39, 27].
- Use the /salute emote in front of the altar to spawn the 60-level Revered Champion.
- Defeat the Revered Champion to earn the Rune of the First Warrior. While it is possible to defeat him alone, it is advisable to have additional allies for an easier battle.
How to get Sudden Death Rune in SoD
Sudden Death: Your melee hits have a 10% chance to grant Sudden Death. Sudden Death allows one use of Execute regardless of the target’s health state. When Execute is enabled by Sudden Death, you will retain 10 rage after using Execute.
How to get Sudden Death:
- Before starting your Timeless Wanderer’s Insights journey, you must be at level 60 or at least 55+. When ready, navigate to Settings, General, and set the Minimum Character Name Size to the highest possible value.
- Then, create the following macro:
/targetexact Wandering Swordsman
/targetlasttarget [dead]
- Now, travel to Silithus and repeatedly use this macro. It will allow you to target the Wandering Swordsman from a great distance quickly.
- Once you find him, converse and pick up the Infinite Midnight quest.
- Select a difficulty level before being teleported to the Khonsu boss platform. Many players have confirmed that you will receive the Rune regardless of the difficulty level, including Easy. Still, we recommend choosing Medium, as it is the requirement to unlock the Rune.
- Before the fight, equip yourself with the Rune of Victory Rush to heal yourself by using Victory Rush after defeating Khonsu‘s ads.
- Additionally, Khonsu has three abilities to be aware of:
- Cleave: When Khonsu uses this ability, avoid the red area on the platform by jumping to the opposite side.
- Thunderclap: Khonsu will summon purple circles on the ground, pushing you back and knocking you off the platform once the cast is complete. To avoid being knocked back, run to one of the pointy edges of the platform and face towards the Titanic Watcher. If you turn your back to him, you will be knocked back.
- Astral Wraiths: Khonsu summons several Astral Wraiths around the platform’s edges. These Wraiths cast a targeted Starfall ability, which you can avoid by not standing in the rays of light. There’s no need to defeat the Wraiths quickly; focus on avoiding the Starfalls.
Avoid these three mechanics, and you’ll be able to defeat Khonsu. Every 30 seconds, he gains a debuff stack that dramatically increases the damage he takes, so pace yourself.
Another reward that can be obtained is Sun Shades, similar to Radiant Ray Reflectors. To get Sun Shades, you must defeat Khonsu at a High difficulty level. This will impose the Perfect Astral Victory effect on you, which tracks the number of wins over the boss at a High level of difficulty without defeats and is a requirement for equipping the item.
It’s also important to note that only one person can fight the boss. Once someone interacts with the Wandering Swordsman, they will be teleported to the boss, and the NPC will disappear until the person fighting the boss either wins or dies.

- Dwarf/Gnome: Reach Level 2, then go into Anvilmar in Coldridge Valley. Inside find Warrior Trainer Thran Khorman [28.8, 67.2], and accept The Lost Rune ****from him. Finally, head to the cave to the south and defeat Frostman Trolls, one of them will drop the Rune.
- Night Elf: Upon reaching level 2 in Shadowglen, head into the main structure of the village. There, you’ll find Warrior Trainer Alyissia [59, 38] — speak with her, turn in Simple Sigil, and accept Admidst the Shadowed Webs. Then head to the cave in the northwest corner of the Shadowglen, and defeat Spiders there until one drops the Rune.
- Orc/Troll: Upon reaching Level 2 in the Valley of Trials, find the Warrior Trainer Frang [42, 6] under a tent just southwest of the big bonfire. Accept A Trial of Fitness. Next, head over to the bonfire and take a look at the cliffs above Frang — knowing what you’re looking for will help you find your objective. Now go north from the bonfire, and take a left to continue west, following the cliffs until you reach a gap you can head through [40, 65]. At the top of the rise, head left at the tree and continue to the far end of the cliffs. From here, drop down and you’ll be able to jump to the chest [43, 69] that contains the Rune.
- Tauren: After you’ve hit level 2, find Warrior Trainer Harutt Thunderhorn [44, 76]. Accept Into the Brambles. Leave the village and head east to the Brambleblade Ravine. When you reach the area with the huts, instead of going up onto the higher ground, go north through the ravine towards the plateau and make your way around the side and at the top [51, 76], you’ll find a chest with the Rune.
- Undead: After you’ve hit level 2, talk to the Warrior Trainer Dannal Stern ]32, 65] inside the building across from the chapel. Accept The Lost Rune, then go to the Night Web’s Hollow [27, 59], a mine in the northwest corner of Deathknell.
