When will War Within Season 3 be released

Currently, Blizzard hasn’t announced the exact release date for TWW Season 3, but we expect it to arrive short after Patch 11.2 in mid-August 2025. Typically, new seasons launch one week after a major patch, so this timing aligns with past trends.
Season 3 will introduce exciting new content, including the Manaforge Omega raid, Eco-Dome Al’dalil dungeon, and the Archival Assault Delve. Additionally, Patch 11.2 will bring new tier sets and a fresh Mythic+ dungeon rotation. For more information regarding potential release date, read our prediction article.
Things to do before The War Within Season 3: Overall feats
When aiming for the great feats of TWW Season 2, focusing on one target is crucial. Blizzard rewards players for specializing in a particular area, whether it’s PvP, Mythic+ dungeons, or raids. To make the most of your efforts, be sure to track your progress toward Dressed to the Mines and The War Within Season 2: Master Blaster achievements.
Concentrating your efforts on one type of content will maximize your rewards and help you achieve these prestigious feats more efficiently.
Things to do before War Within Season 3: Liberation of Undermine

Raiding is the ultimate goal for many WoW players, offering the pinnacle of high-end content in the War Within expansion. While completing raids on LFR difficulty is relatively easy, tackling higher tiers like Heroic and Mythic can be far more challenging. Fortunately, most players won’t need to finish a Mythic raid to enjoy the rewards and progression.
Here’s how to prepare for raiding and what to focus on before Season 3 of War Within begins.
Ahead of the Curve
Let’s start with the Ahead of the Curve achievement. This Feats of Strength achievement requires defeating the final boss of the current raid on Heroic difficulty. While there’s no direct reward, many raid leaders ask players to link this achievement as proof of their skill and capability.
For The War Within Season 2, Ahead of the Curve involves defeating Chrome King Gallywix on Heroic difficulty. This can be challenging if you’re relying on random groups or if your guild is inexperienced. However, with patience, determination, and practice, you can accomplish this and show off your raiding prowess!
Tip
Compared to Queen Ansurek, Chrome King Gallywix is significantly easier. During the RWF, he required the fewest pulls, and the Turbo Boost event increased item level across the board while leaving Gallywix unchanged. On top of that, the Loyal Customer buff from the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club renown provides an additional advantage.
Cutting Edge
Cutting Edge achievements work similarly to Ahead of the Curve, but with one major difference—you must defeat the final boss of the raid on Mythic difficulty. Unlike Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge is more of a prestigious reward that players can show off.
For War Within, earning Cutting Edge: Chrome King Gallywix requires defeating Chrome King Gallywix on Mythic difficulty. However, Mythic raids are far from easy. These challenges demand raid coordination, BiS gear, and a significant time investment. If you’re determined to secure this achievement but find it overwhelming, consider purchasing a WoW LoU boost to help achieve this milestone.
Keys to the Big G and Prototype A.S.M.R.

The Prototype A.S.M.R. is actually the Rik Reverb mount, which drops from Chrome King Gallywix on any difficulty. While it’s already a rare drop, the Keys to the Big G mount is even rarer, requiring players to defeat Gallywix on Mythic difficulty. This mount is Gallywix mechsuit.
Both mounts will become significantly harder to obtain after Season 3 begins, with the Keys to the Big G taking the bigger hit. Currently, defeating Chrome King Gallywix on Mythic guarantees three Keys to the Big G mounts for players who don’t already have it. After the season ends, this guaranteed drop will be removed, making the mount much rarer.
Hurry up and grab these exclusive rewards before the drop rates drop!
Raid Renown mount rewards

While you can still earn Renown after Season 2 ends, many players will stop running LoU raids. There are three mounts available through this Renown. These mounts are: Darkfuse Chompactor (requires Renown Rank 17 with the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club), Flarendo the Furious (requires Renown Rank 20 with the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club), and Thunderdrum Misfire (requires Renown Rank 8 with the Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club).

Darkflame Cleft mount

Unlike previous entries, the Wick’s Lead mount won’t be removed in Season 3. However, since Darkflame Cleft will be leaving the Mythic+ rotation in The War Within, it will become much harder to target specific runs for it. So, if you want to secure this mount, now is the time to act.
Things to do before War Within Season 3: Season 2 PvP rewards
Just like with the Mythic Keystone Hero and Cutting Edge, acquiring PvP Elite rank will reward you with Crystallized Essence of Kaja’mite given from The War Within Season 2: Master Blaster.
Vicious mounts: Vicious Electro Eel

The Vicious Skyflayer is the pinnacle PvP reward for Season 2 of The War Within. Once you’ve secured this exclusive mount, you’ll unlock access to the Vicious Saddle, an invaluable item for dedicated PvP players. The Vicious Saddle allows you to claim legacy PvP mounts from previous seasons, giving you the chance to expand your collection—even if you missed earlier content.
The Vicious Electro Eel offers a unique dual-reward system: when you earn the Alliance mount, you automatically get the Horde counterpart, and vice versa. This benefit extends to the current season’s Vicious Electro Eel, making it a great reward for active PvP players.
It’s best to complete this grind now, as after Season 2, the Vicious Electro Eel will only be obtainable through a Vicious Saddle, doubling the effort required. PvP Gladiator: Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat

Earning Vicious mounts takes time, but achieving the Gladiator title in Season 2 is a brutal challenge. The first step is reaching Elite Rank (2400+ Rating) in Rated PvP, but the real grind begins after that. To earn the Gladiator title, you’ll need to win 50 Rated 3v3 Arena matches while maintaining your Elite Rank throughout Season 2.
This is a test of skill, teamwork, and perseverance, meant for true PvP masters. Ready for the challenge? The sooner you start, the easier it will be to earn the Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat! Good luck in the arena!
