As one of the oldest and most beloved MMORPG games, World of Warcraft has always been recognized for its unique interface. However, some things become outdated as time passes, and one must keep up with the times to stay afloat. This issue also applies to games, and that’s what Blizzard decided to do with their WoW User Interface, improving it by making it more cozy and user-friendly for all kinds of players in The War Within.
The War Within User Interface updated: What’s new?
Starting with The War Within, reagents will now display their associated expansion, making it easier to manage your bank storage and make informed decisions about your items. The quest log has also been revamped, featuring a checkbox selector for tracking your tasks and providing detailed information about their status. Mouse over a quest, and you can instantly see if it is Repeatable, Warbands-eligible, Important, a part of a Campaign, in progress, and more!

Since quests are often closely tied to the in-game map, Blizzard has made significant updates to it as well. Now, when you open it, you will immediately see teleport points and cave entrances in addition to the familiar flight points. The map will also guide you to hubs where all activities, NPCs, and quests are concentrated, dig sites where you can unearth artifacts, and Delves.
But what about world bosses, rare elites, and simple rares granting you valuable rewards? You can locate them with the map as well! Plus, it will reveal world quests, and patch-specific and bonus open-world activities, making your journey throughout Azeroth much more convenient and coordinated!

Aside from the highly-awaited Arachnophobia mode, the game update introduces Hero Talents to the talent pane and consolidates Specializations, Talents, and the Spellbook into a single Talents and Spellbook interface. Now, the updated Spellbook allows you to view more spells and abilities on one screen, includes a search function to find missing action bar spells, and offers options to minimize the Spellbook and hide passive skills.
