The War Within Beta Test: Start Date, New Key Art, and More
Blizzard has announced the start of The War Within beta test. Along with it is a new key art, the content fans can expect, more information on pre-purchasing editions, and more.

The War Within beta test will start on June 5. This test will introduce a variety of new content, systems, and experiences for players to explore. Invitations will be extended to:
- Community veterans
- Members of the press
- Fansites
- Friends and family of Blizzard employees
- Owners of The War Within Epic Edition will have instant access to the beta. This privilege extends to both those who purchase the Epic Edition outright and those who upgrade to it. These players will also be granted a minimum of three days of early access to WoW’s 10th expansion upon its official launch.
Selected beta participants will receive an email notification with comprehensive instructions on how to download the game client directly from the Battle.net desktop app. To mitigate the risk of falling victim to scammers, players are strongly urged to proceed with caution and confirm the legitimacy of their invitations by logging into their Battle.net accounts.
How to Participate in The War Within Beta Test
To participate in The War Within beta, follow these steps:
- Download and update the Battle.net app.
- Open the Battle.net app. Choose World of Warcraft from the list of games, select “The War Within” under “In Development,” and click “Install.”
- Once installation is completed, enter the game and choose any Test Servers available.
- Create a new test character or import an existing one from Dragonflight.
- Begin testing the available content.

The War Within Pre-Purchase Options
Blizzard offers three editions of The War Within:
- Epic Edition ($89.99): Includes everything in the Heroic Edition. Guaranteed beta access, early access, 30 days of game time, Squally, the Storm Hatchling pet, Sandbox Storm Gryphon toy, Deepdweller’s Earthen Hearthstone effect, and 1000 Trader’s Tender.
- Heroic Edition ($69.99): Contains the Base Edition items along with the Algarian Stormrider mount, the Stormrider’s Attire transmog set, and 750 Trader’s Tender.
- Base Edition ($49.99): Features the pre-purchase of The War Within, Dragonflight, a Level 70 Character Boost, and 500 Trader’s Tender.
