Does just having the single button on your bar cause the penalty or is it if you only use it? I had placed it only to observe, watch/adjust my rotation but didn’t plan on hitting it.
Only pressing the single-button assistant will trigger the GCD and any penalty. Just having it on your bar without using it won’t affect anything — your rotation and other buttons stay totally normal.
