Patch 11.2 is here, and the new zone K’aresh is now available. In this zone, you can (and must) unlock Phase Diving. This new feature in The War Within allows you to fast travel, discover secrets, access the Manaforge Omega raid, and more.

What is Phase Diving
Phase Diving is a new feature introduced in Patch 11.2. It allows your character to enter a special version of the world called the Untethered Space, where you take on an energy form and interact with hidden enemies, secrets, and rewards that aren’t available in the normal world. This is the only way to enter Manaforge Omega raid in K’aresh.
While Phase Diving, your character moves at 150% speed but can’t mount at first. Once you unlock the Orbs of Power talent from the Reshii Wraps, you’ll be able to mount again, though all mounts are replaced with a special one called the Phase-Lost Slateback. Read more in Reshii Wraps guide.
How to start Phase Diving
To start Phase Diving, you need to complete all of the following requirements and quests:
- Reach 80 lvl.
- complete the Khaz Algar leveling campaign, if you haven’t already.
- Enter K’aresh location.
- Get Reshii Wraps artifact.
- Start Another World quest at Shad’anis in The Oasis, K’aresh.
- Complete the quest and the ones that follow it: The Untethered Void, What Doesn’t See You, and The Untethered Horror.
Phase Diving starting quest
The Phase Diving starting quest is called Another World. You can pick it up from Shad’anis in The Oasis, K’aresh.
To complete this quest and unlock the following ones, head to the Phase Diving Hub, as shown on the map below.

This is the full Phase Diving map showing all Phase Diving waypoints, known as Conduits. You can enter Phase Diving at any Conduit. Once you’ve visited a Phase Conduit at least once, you’ll be able to teleport instantly to it from another waypoint, making travel across K’aresh much faster.

Phase Diving weekly quest is More Than Just a Phase. You can pick it from two NPCs. The quest requires you to kill mobs, loot treasures, and complete World quests while Phase Diving.
Here are quest givers for More Than Just a Phase weekly Phase Diving quest:
- Shad’anis, located in Overlook Zo’Shuul.
- Constable Zo’ardaz, located in Tazavesh.
Completing this weekly quest rewards you with 300 K’areshi Trust reputation and 7 Untethered Coins.
Pro tip
Constable Zo’ardaz will also offer questlines to help you farm Ethereal Strands, which are needed to upgrade Reshii Wraps.

While Phase Diving, you can collect the rare Untethered Xy’bucha, a potion that lets you enter Phase Diving without using a Phase waypoint. It also grants a significant movement speed boost for 15 minutes. These drinks are scattered throughout Shadowguard camps during Phase Diving.
