Patch 11.1 Undermine(d) will arrive in WoW on February 25, 2025 and will bring us to the goblin city of Undermine! A whole new theme will be shown to the players. This update will concentrate entirely on the goblins’ culture and lifestyle. The developers want to show much more than their whimsiness and extravagance. They started adding more Goblin-related content since the release of The War Within to prepare players for this chapter in WoW. The developers are very proud of how they managed to convey desired sensations about the whole Undermine(d) zone.
New features and returning characters like Monte Gazlowe, Renzik “The Shiv,” Baron Revilgaz, and Marin Noggenfogger will become available starting from patch 11.1.

Patch 11.1 Undermine(d) new features

The Undermine(d) update will feature many new things to explore and interact with. Here are the most important features this patch will bring to us!
Undermine zone

Undermine would be a new zone available from the start of patch 11.1. As mentioned, the new zone will feature a new storyline connected to goblin cartels. We will have an opportunity to join one of the cartels, similar to The Severed Threads and Siren Isle excavations. The four major Goblin cartels are Blackwater, Bilgewater, Steamwheedle, and the iconic Venture Company; however, it is unknown which cartel would be friendly towards players’ shenanigans.
The zone will be a goblin-themed megapolis featuring many explosions and even new ground mounts. The location will not feature at first flying. However, players will have a brand new D.R.I.V.E. mount. Players would be able to traverse the roads of the zone.
The current plotline’s connection to Siren Isle is unknown. We don’t even know how Undermine will resolve into the whole Xal’atath scheme. However, Ion Hazzikostas assured us it would be an exciting plotline.
How to unlock Undermine

Unlocking Undermine in patch 11.1 involves completing a small questline that becomes available after progressing through the Khaz Algar main leveling campaign. Once completed, you’ll gain permanent access, including teleport options for easier travel. For more information, check out our complete guide here:
The War Within Season 2
The War Within Season 2 will also be available with the release of patch 11.1. It will bring us four instances from War Within as well as three legacy instances and even a new one. Operation: Floodgate is a brand new dungeon that will be featured in the Undermine(d) update. It will be available for completion on Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulty with the start of the Second Season. We will also get The MOTHERLODE!! Back with the rotation.
The rotation for dungeons will look like this:
- Cinderbrew Meadery
- Darkflame Cleft
- The Rookery
- Priory of Sacred Flame
- The MOTHERLODE!!
- Operation: Floodgate
Season 2 Keystone Master mount

Keystone Master achievement in Season 2 will reward players with the new Crimson Shreddertank mount. Here is a model of this precious vehicle:
New Liberation of Undermine Raid

Liberation of Undermine is a brand new eight-boss Raid that will be available after the Undermine(d) update is released. It will culminate in the Undermine plotline in which the cartels will unite against Prince Gallywix. The Raid will feature many explosions, goblin engineering, and Prince Gallywix. Raiders will venture from the streets of Undermine straight to the Gallywix hideout, Gallagio.
A new Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club raid-related renown track is also being added to the game, letting you earn rewards for conquering the Liberation of Undermine raid! For more information about this raid and new renown track, be sure to check out our articles here:
Cartels
We will see a new Cartel system in patch 11.1. Thankfully, this system will be very different from Covenants in Shadowlands. First of all, no player power will be associated with the Cartel system. Once a week, you will be choosing one Cartel to work for, making it a priority for this time. However, some activities on the map will still give a reputation to a specific Cartel. Your previous reputation with any Cartel from the game will not affect the WoW 11.1 patch progress.
For now, there are four main known Goblin Cartels:
- Steamwheedle
- Blackwater
- Bilgewater
- the Venture Company
There is a possibility that we will see more information about the new fifth Cartel in the future.
D.R.I.V.E.

Blizzard loves to add new types of transportation into the game. With the Undermine(d) 11.1 update, we can wield a D.R.I.V.E. mount vehicle. This transport will go faster than standard ground mounts at a speed exceeding 100 percent. We will also be available to customize it similarly to Dragon from Dragonflight. We should also expect World Events featuring racing on a D.R.I.V.E. mount. It is unknown if Undermine will ever feature flying in its zone. We have a more detailed article about this new mechanic, so make sure to check it out:
New Operation: Floodgate dungeon

The new Operation: Floodgate dungeon will be located in The Ringing Deeps. This instance will immediately become available for normal, heroic, mythic, and M+ difficulties. Players will have to face the recklessness of some Goblins and withstand it to save The Ringing Deeps. New Delves

Two brand new Delves will be added to the game. Our beloved companion, Brann, will venture with us into the Undermine and get new features to surprise enemies like becoming a Tank! Older Delves will get attention and get revamped versions to complete. Also, with the new season, we will have another big challenge in a secret Delve similar to Zekvir’s Lair. This time, players will have to face the Underpin challenge.
Players will also receive a new Delver’s Gob-Trotter customizable Delves mount in TWW Season 2. Here is a model of this new mount for the most dedicated Delvers:
