The Reins of the Silver Riding Crane, a rare and exclusive mount from the Mists of Pandaria Remix event, is making a comeback in Patch 11.1.7 of The War Within.

Key takeaways
- Reins of the Silver Riding Crane, MoP Remix’s exclusive mount, is making a comeback in Patch 11.1.7, available for 325 Trader’s Tender in the Trading Post.
- Blizzard’s Trading Post offers players a second chance to acquire rewards from past events.
- Community reactions are mixed. Some players appreciate the opportunity to catch up on missed content. Others, particularly collectors, are frustrated by the return of previously exclusive items.
- Blizzard’s past promises about not re-releasing ultra-rare items are now being questioned.
Seems like Blizzard is bringing back some rewards from WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. The first item returning soon is the Reins of the Silver Riding Crane.
The Crane mount was found in the Patch 11.1.7 PTR build, listed for 325 Trader’s Tender. Originally, this mount was available during the MoP Remix event for 2,200 Bronze, sold by Hemet Nesingwary XVII at the Bazaar of Endless Time.
Past events’ rewards are no longer exclusive

The Trading Post already features a monthly rotation of mounts, transmogs, and cosmetic items, all available for Trader’s Tender. Now, it looks like Blizzard may also use this system to help players catch up on missed content from past events.
Many in the WoW community see this move as a win for accessibility, especially for returning players or those who couldn’t take part in events like the MoP Remix. However, not all reactions have been positive. Some players, particularly collectors, are frustrated by the move.
The core of the concern lies in item rarity and the perceived value of exclusivity. Many assumed that MoP Remix rewards were exclusive to the event. While Blizzard never officially confirmed this, the seasonal nature of the event gave the impression that the cosmetics and mounts would not return.
This frustration isn’t new. In the past, the Tyrael’s Charger mount also returned through the Trading Post, even though it was originally a one-time reward from a special Diablo promotion. Many players who went out of their way to earn it during its original run felt that the re-release took away from the uniqueness and exclusivity of their effort.

The comeback of Reins of the Silver Riding Crane isn’t the first time MoP Remix rewards have returned to WoW, either. Patch 11.1 introduced Nostwin, a vendor located on the Timeless Isle who offers various Remix cosmetics for leftover Bronze.
With everything going on, it’s hard not to question Game Director Ion Hazzikostas’s earlier statement that ultra-rare items like the Spectral Tiger won’t be sold through the Trading Post or in the shop.
Some items from the old WoW Trading Card Game, which many players thought would never return, have already come back through Twitch Drops and other promotions. Because of this, some collectors are left unsure about which rare items might pop up again in the future.
