How to start the Quest to save Marmaduke

To begin your journey:

1. Complete the Siren Isle Introduction: Progress through the storyline until you reach the Quest The Radiant Vault. This unlocks access to the Forgotten Vault, where Marmaduke’s tale begins.
2. Locate the Tattered Journal: Once inside the Forgotten Vault, head to the southern room and find the Tattered Journal. Interacting with it starts the Quest The Tattered Journal.

The Questline: From Forgotten to Forever Home

Follow this short yet meaningful series of quests to uncover Marmaduke’s story:

1. The Tattered Journal: Discover what happened to Marmaduke and his Kul Tiran companions. Return with the retrieved journal to Stellin Verasa [70.8, 39.9].
2. Scattered to the Winds: Collect scattered memories and clues. Pages are located across the Siren Isle and are not visible during the storm. Here are the coordinates for the pages.
   • /way 51.52 44.48 Stained Journal Page Path
   • /way 56.52, 10.87 Stained Journal Page
   • /way 46, 47 Torn Journal Page
   • /way 51.61, 75.86 Soggy Journal Page
   • /way 39.30, 54.12 Faded Journal Page, upstairs

     With all the pages acquired return to Stellin Verasa [70.8, 39.9].
3. A Group Effort: Piece together Marmaduke’s past. During the quest, you need to interact with 3 different NPCs. Here are the NPCs coordinates:
   • Alta /way 67.09, 40.96
   • Ricket /way 71.59, 45.66
   • Skitter /way 69.14, 43.36
     After this, you will be able to grasp the full story of Marmaduke.
4. Laid to Rest at Last: Bring closure to the expedition and prepare to meet the good boy himself. Go to the local graveyard [39.3, 54.8] and lay the journal to the rest. After this the questline would be completed.

Finding Marmaduke’s Favorite Toy

After completing Laid to Rest At Last, head to the abandoned inn, Salt and Shanty, and you’ll spot a Well-Loved Squeaky Toy on the second floor near a bed. This toy is the key to winning Marmaduke’s heart.

Meeting Marmaduke

With the squeaky toy in hand, roam the central area of Siren Isle to find Marmaduke. When you spot him, interact with him and select the option:

Marmaduke will joyfully bark at you before running off to camp. A message in chat will confirm: Marmaduke looks at you expectantly and runs toward camp.

If you have trouble following or finding Marmaduke, just type in this command to track him:

/tar Marmaduke

Completing Marmaduke’s Journey

Marmaduke will be waiting for you in Flotsam Shoal. Speak to him about accepting the Quest Homeward Bound to Safer Shores. Finish the Quest, and Marmaduke will officially join your collection!

Marmaduke: The Star of Your Collection

Not only is Marmaduke, a loyal companion, but he’s also got some tricks up his paw. Try these emotes to see his adorable reactions:

• /sit – He sits down.
• /lay or /sleep – He lays down with you.
• /roar – He barks at you.
• /dance – He spins around.
• /cheer – He wags his tail and barks happily.
• /love or /pet – A heart appears above his head.

Bonus: Marmaduke’s Ducky Friend

After saving Marmaduke, revisit the Salt and Shanty Inn. Near the spot where you found his toy, you’ll now see a Ducky Friend. Loot this to get Marmaduke’s “Ducky Friend” toy, an adorable item that gives Marmaduke his ducky companion. Don’t worry about running out — these toys respawn, ensuring Marmaduke always has a friend.
