Blizzard removes Zekvir’s Lair from Great Vault progress
Blizzard has announced they will remove Zekvir’s Lair from Great Vault progress, starting with the next Weekly Reset.
A few hours ago, Blizzard announced that Zekvir’s Lair will no longer count toward Great Vault progress starting with the next weekly reset. According to the developers, this adjustment is part of a larger effort. Blizzard wants to ensure that the Great Vault’s rewards are earned through more varied gameplay rather than repetitive quick runs of the same Delve.
Despite Zekvir’s Lair being removed from future Great Vault progression, Blizzard reassured players that any runs completed before the reset will still count toward this week’s Vault. “This change affects play after tomorrow’s weekly reset,” Blizzard said. So, if you’ve already put time into Zekvir runs this week, your efforts will still contribute to this time’s rewards.
This isn’t the first time Blizzard has adjusted Delves and the Great Vault. Previously, the developers reduced the Great Vault requirements for Delves. However, this latest update has ignited heated debate within the community, with many players unhappy about the change. While it might seem like a minor tweak to game mechanics, frustration is mounting among WoW players. Some have labeled it yet another “L change,” claiming it takes away the fun of playing WoW.
This change only adds to the growing list of issues plaguing the game. Take M+ dungeons, for example. M+ content has been under fire for its rising difficulty and toxic in-game culture. Many players report that groups often disband mid-run, with leavers becoming increasingly common, creating a frustrating experience for those who remain.
