Blizzard nerfed Sporbits: Goodbye, most-hated Delve mob!
Finally, Blizzard nerfed Sporbits! The most hated mob in the entire expansion of The War Within now no longer respawns after being defeated.
Sporbits are the elementals found in Fungal Folly on the Isle of Dorn and Myomancer Cavern in Hallowfall. Known for their persistent and frustrating behavior in The War Within, these mobs have been a significant source of distress for many players. Fortunately, Blizzard has addressed this issue with a recent hotfix.
When aggroed, Sporbits relentlessly chased the player and exploded, knocking players backward like ragdolls. Previously, after defeat, Sporbits would respawn and continue this cycle. And it was especially problematic if players had DoT effects on Sporbits when they died for the first time. This would lead to repeated aggro and explosions, making them one of the most aggravating enemies in Delves.
As if not annoying enough, the two vendors, Reno Jackson and Sir Finley Mrrgglton—who offer a range of exciting items—are located near Sporbits. When said Sporbit was aggroed and detonated, it caused both vendors to reset, preventing players from interacting with them and browsing their wares. However, this is no longer the case. After the latest hotfix, Sporbits won’t respawn after being killed, offering much-needed relief to Delvers:
— Wowhead
- Sporbits no longer respawn after being killed.
- Sporesplosion now has a 1.5-sec cast (was 1 sec) when cast on death.
Players are delighted with how Blizzard addressed this issue, which has been a much-needed improvement. With Sporbits no longer respawning, more players can now fully enjoy Delves, which has proven to be a highly popular and enjoyable activity in The War Within.
