What are Delves curios and how to find them
Curios are upgrades for your Delves companions. They are obtained and added to your pull from chests at the end of successfully completed Delves. Curios have different ranks and can be upgraded upon finding higher rank ones (up to a maximum of 4th rank). Two types of curios can be equipped by Brann: combat and utility. One of each can appear in one loadout. That makes two curios in total during one Delves run.
Curios let your companions use extra abilities or add helpful passives to their kit. Choosing a good combination of combat and utility loadout can heavily impact Brann’s performance, making your Delves Tier 8+ runs much better.
Brann curios Season 3
In Season 3, all previous curios from Season 2 are unavailable, so Brann had to find new empowerments from K’aresh. Here are all new 10 (5 combat and 5 utility) Season 3 Brann curios:
- Combat curios:
- Ethereal Energy Converter – Spawns a device when a party member drops below 60% HP. It taunts enemies for 4 sec, then heals allies for 20% HP. Cooldown reduced by 2 sec per enemy kill.
- Hatarang – Brann throws random hats at enemies, hitting 2 targets with moderate damage and one of three debuffs: +20% damage taken, −20% damage dealt, or −20% attack/cast speed.
- Mana-Tinted Glasses – Brann gains +5% damage dealt and taken every 5 sec, stacking 10 times. Dispelling heals him for 70% HP and stuns nearby enemies for 5 sec. Auto-dispels at 30% HP (no stun).
- Quizzical Device – Brann may grant players +20% health, damage, or healing for 20 sec based on their role. Players can also grant Brann the same buff based on his role.
- Nether Overlay Matrix – Brann occasionally summons a 60% weaker ethereal copy of himself for 1 min during combat.
- Utility curios:
- Audio Amplification Crystal – Brann’s voice may grant the party a buff depending on what he says in combat.
- Battered Aegis – Party gains +3% damage and healing. Every 10 sec, Brann and players heal for 5% of recent damage taken. Upon death, players revive with stacking buffs to defense and healing, but penalties to damage/healing dealt.
- Sands of K’aresh – Gathering Tools usage surrounds the party with swirling sands. Grants +12% Crit (up to 10 stacks) and slows enemies. Crits summon Sand Devils that pull enemies. Triggers every 45 sec.
- Tailwind Conduit – Leaving combat grants +100% movement speed (decays over 10 sec). Using a defensive cooldown creates a wind shield for 8 sec equal to 50% of missing health.
- Temporal Decelerator Crystal – Damaging Elites at >80% or <20% HP slows their attack/cast speed by 50% for 30 sec. Killing them while debuffed grants the party +8% Haste (stacks).

In Season 3, your best and only companion is Brann Bronzebeard. This brave and charismatic dwarf will assist you during your Delves runs. He will help you by dealing damage to your enemies, healing you, or tanking mobs for you, based on the role you choose for him.

Best curios for Tank Brann in Delves Tier 8+
Tank Brann appeared in Season 3 TWW and instantly became one of the strongest specs for this companion. It not only provides a strong passive buff to your defensive cooldowns, but also offers something no other Curio does: a powerful post-combat speed boost that significantly improves clear times. While some specs might prefer longer fights for AoE or DoT uptime, in most cases, Tailwind Conduit is simply too efficient to pass up.
- Combat: Quizzical Device – This Curio gives out a really good buff, and doesn’t have any additional objectives surronding it. Probably the best if you don’t want to experiment and just complete Delves for Great Vault rewards.
- Combat: Nether Overlay Matrix – This is a solid alternative if you don’t have Quizzical Device at Rank 4, though its overall DPS burst is lower by comparison.
- Utility: Tailwind Conduit – This Curio is most comparable to the Bear Tartare buff from Legion. If you’re aiming to speedrun Delves, it’s objectively the best Curio available in The War Within. On top of that, it also provides a strong passive buff to your defensive cooldowns.

I’m a Blood DK and always take Brann as a healer with the Mechasaur Kit and the Pylon. Always clear tier 11’s without loss of life with this set up.(Unless the underpin shows up).

* Three Dimensional Bioprinter is USELESS for caster classes and specializations because Bioprinter I and Bioprinter II only do auto-attack damage and their damage is based upon the player’s ATTACK STAT. Stick to Pacifist Rig instead; sure it’s a random proc but it’ll still be way better than the 3D trash and has notably changed post-patch release.
* Speaking of Pacifist Rig, you did a crap job describing what it does. CC? Really? It is more than just that, particularly the higher the curio rank.
* Don’t undersell the Pocket Factory curio — it is deceptively powerful to the point I’m half-afraid Blizzard will nerf it at some point.
