The War Within pre-patch event Radiant Echoes release date
The War Within pre-patch event Radiant Echoes release date is July 30. It’ll last until the global release of The War Within on August 26.
What is Radiant Echoes?
Radiant Echoes is the pre-patch event for The War Within. During this event, you will journey back to old zones in Azeroth to confront memories and vanquish enemies from the past. A Radiant Echo will take place in one of the following three zones:
- Dustwallow Marsh
- Searing Gorge
- Dragonblight

The War Within pre-patch event Radiant Echoes consists of three phases:
Phase 1: Coalesced Memory Boss
A Coalesced Memory boss will appear in Dustwallow Marsh, Searing Gorge, or Dragonblight. As you damage the boss, NPCs embodying memories from Azeroth’s past will emerge. You can try to defeat them on your own. But it’s advisable to gather a few more players and take them down together.
Phase 2: Zone Events
After defeating the Coalesced Memory, six events will spawn across the zone. Each will reflect significant past memories from the continent’s history corresponding to that zone:
- Dustwallow Marsh: Relive Kalimdor’s storied past.
- Searing Gorge: Experience the pivotal events of the Eastern Kingdoms.
- Dragonblight: Revisit the epic battles of Northrend.
The events will involve various different tasks for you to complete. They can range from defeating old enemies to taking part in battles or collecting iconic items.
Phase 3: Old Boss Battle
Upon completing all six events, a final boss from the past will emerge. Just like the events, the boss will be different in each zone:
- Dustwallow Marsh: Onyxia
- Searing Gorge: Ragnaros
- Dragonblight: The Lich King
You need to defeat them to mark the conclusion of the Radiant Echoes event.
Radiant Echoes cooldown
The Radiant Echoes pre-patch event has a cooldown of 30 minutes. As each Echo spawns in one of the specified zones mentioned earlier, you will always have an active Radiant Echo event to participate in. To identify which Echo is active, open your map and see if the horn icon appears in any of the zones.
