What is Trials of Osiris
The simplest explanation of what Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris is that it’s a temporary endgame PvP activity available from Friday to Tuesday, where the top players gather for 3v3 elimination battles. All these difficult battles are necessary to obtain the game’s best loot and reach The Lighthouse. Trials of Osiris weapons differ from other guns in that they have not one but two Origin Traits designed explicitly for Trials:
- Fleet Footed — Dealing damage grants you a short window of increased movement speed and airborne effectiveness. Landing a final blow increases these effects.
- Roar of Battle — Being in combat for a short duration increases handling and stability.

This Auto Rifle isn’t particularly impressive, and only the Onslaught paired with either Slice or Dragonfly might make it viable, though even that is a stretch.
Aureus Neutralizer Hand Cannon
- Damage: Kinetic
- Ammo: Primary
- God Roll: Threat Detector + One-Two Punch / Trench Barrel / Cascade Point
This is a solid weapon for melee-focused builds, especially when used for boss damage. In that case, the Threat Detector + One-Two Punch or Trench Barrel combo is highly effective. Alternatively, Cascade Point is a great choice to boost overall damage output with this Hand Cannon.
Aisha’s Embrace Scout Rifle
- Damage: Void
- Ammo: Primary
- God Roll: Rapid Hit / Demoralize / Vorpal Weapon + Destabilizing Rounds
The new perk pool makes this Scout Rifle much stronger than before. Destabilizing Rounds is the go-to choice in the fourth column, while your third-column perk depends on your playstyle. Vorpal Weapon provides consistent damage if you’re using Aisha’s Embrace as a primary damage dealer, while Rapid Hit and Demolitionist offer great synergy for Void builds.
Forgiveness Sidearm
- Damage: Arc
- Ammo: Primary
- God Roll: Demolitionist / Voltshot + Adrenaline Junkie / Surrounded / Loose Change
This isn’t considered one of the best weapons in the game, mainly due to the underwhelming perks in the fourth column. The third column also lacks a lot of strong options, leaving limited room for impactful perk combinations.
Unwavering Duty Machine Gun
- Damage: Solar
- Ammo: Heavy
- God Roll: Subsistence / Incandescent / Fourth Times the Charm / Subsistence + Burning Ambition / Killing Tally / Bait & Switch
This Machine Gun offers a wide variety of perk combinations. In the fourth column, Killing Tally is the most popular choice, but Burning Ambition and Bait & Switch also create strong and interesting builds. The third column features several excellent options that elevate Unwavering Duty into a top-tier Machine Gun.

How to Unlock Trials of Osiris 2025

2. Complete the Trials Access quest (available at Saint-14 in the Tower after you complete New Light onboarding experience) Defeat 50 opponents in Competitive mode
3. Complete Placement Matches in the Competitive playlist
4. Achieve the Season Power Level Soft Cap without Artifact

How to get to the Lighthouse in Trials?

Yes, you can focus Trials Engrams on the loot you need. Each item has its own price, namely:

Legacy Weapons or Armor (not previously acquired) — 7 Engrams
Legacy gear focusing allows you to obtain older Trials weapons and armor sets that are no longer in the current loot pool. This includes items like the Pyrrhic Ascent and Exile armor sets.
