Concerns about Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch Will be Addressed

Mortal Kombat 1 coming to the Nintendo Switch has been nothing less than controversial. The game’s dated 90s graphics and jarring performance have left players dissatisfied with its $70 price tag. Consequently, the co-creator of the title felt compelled to address the ongoing issues and provide assurance that necessary improvements would be made.

Fans have always expected the Switch version to have some graphical differences from its Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions. Yet, what has been observed on the Japanese console is beyond disappointment. Thus, it has given rise to numerous memes and complaints across the internet.

In light of these voiced concerns, Ed Boon has offered players assurance that the ongoing issues will be tackled. The game’s co-creator expressed the team’s dedication to enhancing the Switch experience.

“A number of the the concerns of the issues that had come up will absolutely be addressed. It would have been ideal for us to have released the version that we absolutely wanted. But anything that we’re finding a problem with is on our list and is going to be fixed.”

Mortal Kombat 1 is doing quite alright. The game is now sitting at 85 Metascore and 6.0 based on User Ratings on Metacritic. However, early reviews for the Switch version have been generally negative. Players can only hope the development team will stick to their words and rectify the issues soon.
