Destiny 2: You Can Unlock Lightfall’s Strand Fragments Now

Bungie has announced that you can unlock all of the Destiny 2 Strand Fragments in Lightfall now. A week earlier than intended.

This feature was originally scheduled to be released in phases. Four will be able to for players on March 7. Another four were set to come out after the Root of Nightmares raid World First, which means no sooner than March 10. Yet, a live update rolled out on March 2 allowed you to get your hands on any of the eight Fragments however you want:

To get them, you need to earn Strand Meditations. There are various options for you to choose from. You may gain them by completing activities on Neomuna, using the latest subclass anywhere, or participating in Vex Incursion Zones. Once you have enough Meditations, head to the Pouka Pond at the Hall of Heroes to receive your deserved Fragments.

This update is a response to fans’ criticism about the Strand system that Bungie has received. They expect to improve it with the addition of new Fragments. It’s best to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain as many as possible and maximize the customization for your subclass.
