This is why we created this Legion Remix leveling guide. Here we gathered all the info necessary to quickly reach the level cap. Doing so will grant access to all endgame activities, allowing you to farm your rewards faster.
WoW Legion Remix leveling explained

You must create a new character since the Legion Remix is a separate game mode. You won’t be able to use your character from The War Within. The newly created characters in Legion Remix start from level 10. Legion Remix max level is 80.
The game mode provides many rewards, both legacy and new ones, but you need a level 80 character to get most of them. For example, one of the ways to receive a new unique class mount requires you to reach the level cap on the corresponding class.
Several systems were added to speed up the process, increasing the experience received. These include brand-new daily quests, an experimental difficulty mode, and Warband buffs for story progression.
During Legion Remix, you can send your characters to The War Within. The process can’t be reversed. This makes Legion Remix a perfect mode to level up your alts.
You can learn more about transferring your character in the article below.
WoW Legion Remix experience buffs

Before we start leveling characters, there are several things that players should consider to get experience buffs in Legion Remix.
Legion Remix Infinite Research
Legion Remix Infinite Research is the important staple of leveling. Infinite Research is a daily quest that allows you to select your own objective to receive various rewards. What is essential from a leveling perspective is that each completed quest increases the amount of XP received for the whole Warband.
1–2% per quest doesn’t seem that much, but considering they are daily, they stack up pretty fast. You can log in and do them every day, or save up to 6 and do them simultaneously.
You can take these quests at the Infinite Bazaar. This newly added area, just south of Broken Isles’ Dalaran, serves as an event hub for Legion Remix. You can find the portal leading there in Dalaran.
Here are the coordinates for the Infinite Bazaar portal in Dalaran:
/way 48 70
Legion Remix progression buffs
Legion Remix progression boosts earned experience, helping you to reach the maximum level faster.
The initial opening scenario grants you a 10% Warband XP boost.
When you reach your Class Hall, you will be given a chance to earn an Artifact Weapon. Since you got yours in the opening scenario, another reward is given if you pursue the same weapon again. After getting the same Artifact Weapon, you will be awarded a Bronze Simulacrum. You can use it to complete the Just Between Us quest from Momentus at Infinite Bazaar, Dalaran. Completing this quest grants another one-time 10% Warband XP increase.
Each zone in Legion has its own story campaign. Completing zone storylines provides a permanent 10% bonus increase to received experience.
Reaching level 40 on your first character provides a one-time bonus of 10% increased experience. Reaching level 80 also provides a permanent 10% bonus. However, this bonus is given for every Legion Remix character that has reached the level cap. Both are collected from Moratari [7.0; 15.8], who awaits you at the Infinite Bazaar, Dalaran.
The overall bonus you can collect for the whole event is a 400% bonus experience.
At level 70, you can get a Lesson in Alacrity quest from Moratari. This quest grants Moratari’s Infinite Wisdom buff that increases experience from enemies by 250%. Note that this is not a Warband quest and the buff only applies to the character completing the quest.
Legion Remix Heroic world tier

Legion Remix Heroic world tier allows you to select the difficulty of the world content. Selecting the Heroic world tier makes every enemy more resilient and stronger, and gives them affix-like improvements.
Defeating such enemies, however, provides better rewards. This includes Bronze, Infinite Power, and 500% increased experience. It is a vast improvement since Warband bonuses also affect this experience. The bonus even affects enemies in dungeons.
However, one should not treat the Heroic world tier lightly. It is basically a hard mode. Enemies become more challenging, requiring a careful approach. So one must decide if the bonus is worth it or if they prefer a more chill world content.
You can switch between Heroic and Normal world tiers using the Console of Infinite Chaos in Infinite Bazaar. To access it, you must complete a short introductory quest, Infinite Chaos. Heroic tier can only be accessed via the Console. You can leave it at any time using the Temporal Retreat general action.
Legion Remix Artifact Weapon
Legion Remix Artifact Weapon is the primary source of your incredible powers in Legion Remix, similar to the Cloak of Infinite Potential from MoP remix.
Sadly, this time, the weapon does not have a direct effect on your experience gained. The bonuses provided by the artifact in MoP were moved to the Infinite Research mentioned above.
Still, Artifact Weapon helps tremendously indirectly. Upgrading it gives your character new talents, passives, skills, and significant stat boosts. The better your Artifact Weapon, the easier time you have fighting enemies.
You can learn moves in our Artifact Weapon guide.
WoW Legion Remix leveling: best ways to level up

Now that we have figured out how to increase your experience gains, it is time to figure out the best ways to level up.
Legion Remix questing
Legion Remix questing should be the primary way to level up your character, at least the first one. As was mentioned before, completing the main campaign for the zone grants a permanent 10% bonus to your Warband.
From the start of the Remix, you have access to all the zones of the Broken Isles. Below are the zones and storylines you need to complete to receive an XP increase:
- Azsuna
- Behind Legion Lines starts with Paradise Lost.
- Azsuna versus Azshara starts with Those Who Remember.
- Defending Azurewing Repose starts with Journey to the Repose.
- Against the Giants starts with Bottled Up.
- Mak’rana and the Fate of the Queen’s Reprisal starts with Maritime Law.
- Val’sharah
- Archdruid of the Vale starts with Archdruid of the Vale.
- Archdruid of the Claw starts with Archdruid of the Claw.
- Archdruid of the Lore starts with Archdruid of the Lore.
- Into the Nightmare starts with Return to the Grove.
- All Nightmare Long starts with Love Lost.
- Bradensbrook starts with A Village in Peril.
- Black Rook Hold starts with Kur’talos Ravencrest.
- Highmountain
- The Rivermane Tribe starts with Keepers of the Hammer.
- Riverbend starts with High Water.
- The Skyhorn Tribe starts with The Skyhorn Tribe.
- The Bloodtotem Tribe starts with The Bloodtotem Tribe.
- Huln’s War starts with A Walk with the Spirits.
- Secrets of the Highmountain starts with Secrets of the Highmountain.
- The Battle of Snowblind Mesa starts with the Battle of Snowblind Mesa.
- Stormheim
- Greymane’s Gambit starts with Havi’s Test and The Trials Continue.
- Secrets of the Shieldmaidens starts with To Catch a Banshee and Dreadwake’s Dilemma.

- A Change of Seasons starts with A Change of Seasons.
- Breaking The Lightbreaker starts with Lyana Darksorrow.
- Moon Guard Stronghold starts with Fate of the Guard.
- Tidying Tel’anor starts with The Lost Advisor.
- Eminent Grow-main starts with Feline Frantic.
- Jandvik’s Jarl starts with Removing Obstacles.
Each storyline includes many quests. Considering this and other factors, you may finish leveling faster than completing all these campaigns. In such cases, we advise you to create a new character and complete the remaining campaigns to not waste all the experience.
Of course, every zone has many additional quests. But if you want increased experience, we recommend focusing on completing the main campaign and moving on to the next zone. Doing so will provide you with a permanent total 50% bonus experience increase.
Legion Remix dungeon leveling
Legion Remix timerunning dungeons include all the dungeons from the original expansion release. Dungeon spam is one of the most effective methods to level up, especially if you have a premade group.
Waiting in dungeon queues can take a while if you play DPS. But on the other hand, you can use that time to do story campaigns. Healers and Tanks can spam dungeons, as their queues are usually quicker. Currently, Healers get an instant queue for any dungeon. If your class has a Healer spec, you can use this to your advantage.
Dungeons are not just a great source of experience, but also provide you with gear and upgrades for your Artifact Weapon. Some dungeons are also necessary to complete the zone’s story campaign. The next dungeons are available at the start of the Legion Remix.
- Assault on Violet Hold
- Black Rook Hold
- Darkheart Thicket
- Eye of Azshara
- Halls of Valor
- Maw of Souls
- Neltharion’s Lair
- Vault of the Wardens
It is a good idea to run these dungeons while leveling to get used to mechanics, since they are all part of the endgame Mythic+ lineup. You can learn more about these dungeons in our article below.
Legion Remix Heroic World tier leveling
The Heroic world tier is mainly used by players in the end game to farm Infinite Power, Bronze, and other rewards. But the mode is available from the start, as you can enter Heroic tier as early as level 10. This means you can use it to level up your character.
You can do quests in Heroic world tier to get more experience and loot from enemies along your quest path, but not from the quests themselves. Questing DPS and Healers should do this to receive a little extra.
Tanks, however, may use the advantages of the Heroic world tier to their fullest. With their innate survivability and self-healing, Tanks can gather big groups of enemies and farm them very early. It is something that most Healers and DPS can’t afford, as they are usually not durable enough to survive huge groups of enemies in Heroic tier, even with self-healing.
Conversely, Tanks can survive long enough to defeat huge groups and quickly get another. As they level up, they get access to more self-healing and defensive tools, making the farm easier. And don’t forget Artifact Weapon talents. The Fel Path that starts with Twisted Crusade is a perfect choice for the farm, as it entirely focuses on providing more damage. And this is precisely what Tanks need.
There is no best spot for such a farm, as enemies will scale with your level. So any place with high enemy density is good. One advice is to choose spots close to a zone’s campaign quests. That way, there will always be people joining you and helping you eliminate groups of enemies even faster.
A few examples of such zones are:
- Azsuna

/way 55.00 47.50
/way 42.40 46.46
/way 57.14 14.34
- Val’sharah

/way 57.95 54.01
/way 62.08 35.42
- Highmountain

/way 43.26 45.70
/way 43.80 67.01
- Suramar

Legion Remix fastest way to level
Here is the fastest way to level in Legion Remix:
- After completing the initial scenario and reaching the Artifact Weapon choice in your class campaign, pursue the same weapon to get a Warband experience buff from Momentus in Infinite Bazaar. This is a one-time bonus.
- Do the Infinite Research daily quests to get the Warband experience bonus. You can do them on alts as well. Each quest grants a 1% buff to received experience for your Warband, meaning doing all 6 quests daily on 2 characters will grant a 12% increase. Imagine if you do them on more alts.
- Focus on main campaign storylines. You can do zones in any order, but we recommend going in Azsuna > Highmountain/Val’sharah> Stormheim > Suramar.
- As your level and gear improve, try out Heroic world tier for your questing activities. It is harder but provides more XP and other extra rewards.
- Stand in the Dungeon queue on DPS while questing. If you are playing Tank or Healer, queue once in a while, as your queues may be too fast to efficiently combine with questing. Switch to Heroic world tier to receive more experience from enemies in dungeons as well.
- Focus on one character at a time. Reaching level 40 on your first character, then level 80 on any other, provides another boost of XP from Moratari in Infinite Bazaar. The more characters at the level cap you have, the faster the process.
- Don’t forget to take the Lesson in Alacrity quest from Moratari once you reach level 70.
- Do not ignore world quests on your way. We don’t recommend going specifically for them, but if there is one on or close to your path, do it for experience and other rewards.
This is for our WoW Legion Remix leveling guide. We hope it helps you reach the level cap faster and enjoy all the new game modes’ activities. And if you need help with activities in this game mode, our Legion Remix boosting is there to help. Good luck and see you in the Broken Isles!
