New zone in Patch 11.2: K’aresh

In Patch 11.1, we saw the Dark Heart fall into the hands of the ethereals. Continuing that story, Patch 11.2 takes us to K’aresh, their shattered homeworld, which becomes the central zone for this update.
While K’aresh is new to explore in-game, it’s far from a new concept. Long-time players may recall its mention back in The Burning Crusade, when we first encountered the ethereals in Netherstorm. Once a thriving planet, K’aresh was devastated by the invasion of Dimensius the All-Devouring. Although that threat was eventually pushed back, the damage was done. The world now lies in ruins, and in Patch 11.2, we’ll witness the aftermath and join the ethereals in their efforts to reclaim and restore what was lost.
TWW Patch 11.2 Artifact: Reshii Wraps

The War Within Patch 11.2 introduces a powerful new artifact cloak called Reshii Wraps, which plays a central role across nearly all major content in Season 3. From the open world to dungeons, Delves, and even the raid itself, this cloak isn’t just a stat stick, it’s a core gameplay mechanic. Read more about it in our full Artifact cloak Reshii Wraps guide.
Reshii Wraps features:
- Phase Diving outdoor activity.
- Key to the new raid entrance.
- Key interactions in Delves.
- Upgradable and customizable for your spec.

TWW Patch 11.2 new raid: Manaforge Omega

The raid featured in Patch 11.2 is Manaforge Omega, a massive facility built to extract cosmic energy from across K’aresh. Now under the control of the Shadowguard, it serves a darker purpose: they aim to use its power to resurrect the Void Lord Dimensius. Read more in this Manaforge Omega guide.
TWW Patch 11.2 new dungeon: Eco-Dome Al’dani

TWW Season 3 brings a new three-boss dungeon: Eco-Dome Al’dani, set within one of the ethereals’ prized arcane greenhouses. This dome has fallen into the hands of a faction of wastelanders, and players will join the effort to reclaim it and uncover the threat within.
Eco-Domes, like Midrealm from Netherstorm, have long served as magically sustained environments that preserve delicate ecosystems. But what makes Eco-Dome Al’dani so important, and why do the wastelanders want it? That mystery lies at the heart of the dungeon’s story, waiting to be unraveled.
Note
One unique aspect of Eco-Dome Al’dani is that its storyline takes place after the events of the raid.
Read more in our Eco-Dome Al’dani guide.
TWW Patch 11.2 new Delve: The Archival Assault

TWW Season 3 introduces a new Delve: The Archival Assault, set within the Azure Vault, a location originally featured as a dungeon in the Dragonflight expansion. This time, the Vault is under siege by ethereal pirates and brokers seeking to loot its arcane treasures. With the aid of Brann Bronzebeard, players will return to the Vault to stop the raiders before the archives are completely plundered.
Players have unfinished business with a familiar foe: Nexus-Princess Ky’veza returns as the nemesis boss for Season 3 Delves. This time, it’s a one-on-one showdown, and she’s not holding anything back.
Read more in our Ky’veza comes back in Season 3 guide.
TWW Patch 11.2 tier sets

Season 3’s Tier Set bonuses in the Manaforge Omega raid are built around Hero Talents, offering unique effects based on your chosen tree and spec. This means your set bonus adapts to the Hero Talents you prefer, adding more variety and flavor to each specialization.

TWW Patch 11.2 new PVP Content

While TWW Patch 11.2 brings major updates for PvE, PvP players aren’t left out. There’s fresh content on the way for them too.
PvP Talent Updates:
New updates to PvP talents are coming with the start of the new season, though details on which classes are affected are still under wraps. These changes aim to refresh PvP combat across the board.
New PvP Island – Vanquisher’s Wake:
A brand-new outdoor PvP zone, Vanquisher’s Wake, offers players a fresh battleground to test new builds, skirmish freely, and enjoy open-world conflict.
Dev’s comments on Patch 11.2

Here’s what the WoW dev team said about the Ghosts of K’aresh:
- Patch 11.2 continues The War Within storyline by expanding on key developments from the conclusion of Undermine and laying the groundwork for the upcoming expansion, Midnight.
- The team behind Ghosts of K’aresh set out to create a story that not only stands on its own but also serves as a clear stepping stone toward Midnight and the broader Worldsoul Saga. Every narrative beat is designed to guide players forward through this evolving saga.
- Visual storytelling plays a major role in this patch. Across all content—whether quests, dungeons, or world events—players will have a strong sense of purpose and direction.
- With Tazavesh confirmed as the new player hub, the art team reworked the city to support flying and enhance its layout. These changes ensure a seamless transition as Tazavesh becomes integrated into the wider K’aresh experience.
- Players will first set foot in K’aresh through a portal opened by Locus-Walker, marking the beginning of their journey into the new zone. Once inside, Tazavesh acts as the central player hub. The city has undergone a complete overhaul, expanded and redesigned for open exploration, making it far more accessible than its previous dungeon incarnation.
- Locus-Walker returns to play a pivotal role in the story, this time joined by Alleria, who takes on a more prominent presence. Together, they’ll guide players through the unfolding events tied to K’aresh and the Shadowguard threat.
- As a fan-favorite race, the ethereals are being treated with care and depth. Developers aimed to do justice to their mysterious culture by introducing new characters from the upper tiers of Nexus Royalty. These figures promise to offer deeper insight into ethereal society, shedding light on aspects of their civilization we’ve never seen before.
