Dynamic Flight and Standard Flight in The War Within

In The War Within, over 440 mounts will become available for Dynamic Flight: from Ashes of Al’ar and Invincible to the Sandstone Drake and many others. However, those who prefer a more relaxed pace of traveling need not worry. Blizzard still keeps the traditional ways of flying in the form of Standard Flight. So, let’s take a look at what these two mechanics have in store for The War Within!
Dynamic Flight: Skyriding
Dynamic Flight or Skyriding, formerly known as Dragonriding, now supports hundreds of other flying mounts beyond dragons and drakes. It’s the fastest and most exciting way to get around old and new zones. Just like on the Dragon Isles, you can use Dynamic Flight while leveling up, exploring, and tackling endgame content like dungeons and raids. Dynamic Flight still keeps Vigor as the base for all abilities. As you level up, you’ll earn new flight skills to make your Skyriding experience even more exhilarating.
As early as level 15, characters can begin learning Skyriding. For Dracthyr, access to this feature comes even earlier due to their dragon wings. Starting with a level 70 character in The War Within grants early access to Dynamic Flight on the Isle of Dorn. All flying mounts will immediately have their talents activated. The acquisition of glyphs will no longer be linked to Dynamic Flight progression.
Standard Flight: Steady Flight
If you prefer a more laid-back and traditional flying experience, you have the option to switch from Dynamic to Standard Flight modes. This flexibility extends not only to your preferred mounts but also allows your Dracthyr to enjoy a relaxed Steady Flight when desired.
The ability to toggle between the two modes will be unlocked immediately at launch in previously existing zones. However, in Khaz’Algar, you need to thoroughly level up and explore the new territories before you can switch between flight styles.
