Patch 10.1’s release date is confirmed to be May 2. Starting on the week of May 9, the latest raid, Aberrus: The Shadowed Crucible, will commence. ALL INCOMING CHANGES AND UPDATES
Dragonflight 10.1’s name leak proved to be true. Today, Blizzard has officially revealed its title to be Embers of Neltharion. But that’s not the only news. As the first major update, it brings along highly anticipated features, including cross-faction guilds, a new dragonriding mount, an underground zone, a new raid, dungeon rotation, and more.
- In response to popular demand, cross-faction guilds are finally being introduced. The feature allows players to team up with friends from opposing factions without the need to create a new character. Join forces with allies from across the divide and enjoy a new level of camaraderie in the game
- A new underground zone: explore the depths of Zaralek Cavern. You’ll embark on an extensive quest chain centered around Neltharion and the Black Dragonflight. Encounter the mole-like folk, Niffen, and work to earn their trust and respect by building your reputation with them
- Explore the stunning Dragon Isles and partake in new open-world events that breathe new life into familiar locations. Brace yourself for Fyrakk Assaults and epic battles against new World bosses. There will also be the continuation of the current storylines about Tyr and the Blue dragonflight
- As for dragonriding, it’s time to take to the skies with a brand-new addition to your drake collection. New glyphs, talents, and exhilarating races also await
- With that being said, of course, there will also be new mounts
- Prepare to face the ultimate challenge in the new raid, Aberrus: The Shadowed Crucible. With a staggering nine bosses to defeat, this raid offers a chance to earn the coveted Season 2 Tier Sets specific to your class. The raid will launch with three difficulties: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic at once
- Get ready for Mythic+ Season 2 with no seasonal affix added at keystone level 10. Only weekly affixes remain. The Dragonflight Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeon Rotation includes Freehold, Underrot, and Vortex Pinnacle, as well as Neltharion’s Lair, Brackenhide Hollow, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Halls of Infusion, and Neltharus

THE NIFFEN
Patch 10.1: Embers of Neltharion introduces a new race called the Niffen. These friendly mole people have an exceptional sense of smell and are known for their keen sense of direction. They will be valuable allies for players exploring the Zaralek Cavern and will have their own Renown track, enabling players to gain reputation with them.
Although little is currently known about the Niffen, they lice in the vibrantly-colored huts discovered throughout the Cavern. Additionally, the Niffen resembles Kobolds in several ways.
