Dragonflight: First Non-Dragon Mount with Dragonriding System
Dragonflight Patch 10.2: Guardians of the Dream is arriving with a host of new features. Among them is the stand-out addition of being the debut of the Fire Owl. Why is it worth your attention? It’s because this is the first non-dragon-related mount that utilizes the Dragonriding system.
To acquire the Fire Owl, players will need to conquer Fyrakk on Mythic difficulty within the Amirdrassil raid. Blizzard had teased this special ride in the patch reveal video beforehand. However, it wasn’t until recently that content creator Leyst delighted fans by unveiling the mount in action on Twitter.
The animations displayed by the Fire Owl have ignited anticipation among players. They offer a tantalizing glimpse into the potential future of mounts in the game. But it’s important to note that said mount is still a bird. It has wings. So Blizzard still has a lot to do in order to implement the beloved flying system to all of the wingless companions.
