- Get Hypnotic Crystal from Mutanus the Devourer, the Wailing Caverns Dungeon‘s last boss.
- Combine a Greater Magic Wand and a Wild Magic Essence to create a Gnarled Wand of Wild Magic. You can find Wild Magic Essence by defeating and looting Furbolgs in Ashenvale.
- Turn in the quest to Jixo Madrocket to receive a follow-up one: Wrangling a Wild Wyvern.
- Watch Jixo Madrocket tame a Wyvern.
- Upon turning it in, you will get Rune of Kill Command and the Wyvern Taming Wand, which allows you to tame a Young Pridewing as a pet wyvern.

Since the quest is bugged, make sure you wait until Jixo is standing beside the hut to speak to him. If he is out taming a Wyvern already and you speak to him while he is stunned, you will turn in the quest, lose your quest items, and won’t be able to proceed 😔
Also you can try to relog, abandon the quest, and the NPC will respawn eventually and you can pick it back up 😊
