Season of the Wish started quite successfully, and the fourth week amuses us with a new Exotic Mission with cool loot, like Wish-Keeper Exotic Bow. We found this bow quite intriguing, so we decided to answer all your questions about it.
You’ll find all the information about the Wish-Keeper quest, how to obtain this bow, and a complete overview. Let’s not delay any longer and finally talk about its features!
How to Start Wish-Keeper Quest
To get your hands on Wish-Keeper, you must first complete all the tasks of week three in the “Wishing All the Best” quest. Once done, run one mission in week four and head to the H.E.L.M. destination to access the “Starcrossed” Exotic Mission. Complete it on normal or legend difficulty, and the Destiny 2 Wish-Keeper will be yours!
Wish-Keeper Mission Overview
In Starcrossed, you will find yourself in the Black Garden again, as the Sol Divisive is behind the abduction of Riven’s eggs. You will have to deal with Vex and Taken to stop this while also uncovering Riven’s important secret. We recommend going through this mission for the first time without any guides. However, if you have problems with the mechanics, we are ready to help you!
During your journey to the Wish-Keeper in Destiny 2, you’ll encounter two buffs that are the main mechanics of this Exotic Mission.
- The first is Sire’s Obligation, which allows you to see symbols and also deal damage to the Obdurate Phalanx protecting these symbols.
- The second buff, Dam’s Gift, allows you to pass through orange passages, as without it, you will receive a tremendous amount of damage.
- Combined, you’ll gain the Crowned by Dragons buff, which will have all the above properties.
If our brief explanation of the mechanics is not enough, you may check out the walkthrough of the mission by Esoterickk, but be prepared for spoilers:
Wish-Keeper Guide
Here is all the essential information about the Wish-Keeper Exotic in Destiny 2. Learn about its effectiveness, perks, and available Catalysts.
Wish-Keeper Bow Overview
In principle, Wish-Keeper may remind you of the recently released Verglas Curve. Due to the Exotic Perk, final blows or precision hits from this weapon will give you energy for the Snareweaver arrow energy that can be fired from the hip. To fully charge this arrow, you will need six charges, which are obtained relatively quickly.
On impact, this Snareweaver arrow will create traps, which will Suspend nearby enemies. All this is perfectly combined with Silkbound Slayer, as it improves damage to suspended targets and provides a faster draw time when you suspend or damage a suspended foe.
Is it worth getting a Wish-Keeper? The answer is definitely yes! Although it may disappoint you in easy content, its essence is revealed only in Endgame, like in Grandmaster Nightfall.
Wish-Keeper has many different applications. For example, you can set a trap behind you, as it’ll prevent enemies from catching you off guard. Still, nothing prevents you from simply shooting a Snareweaver arrow into a crowd of enemies and suspending them all.
Wish-Keeper God Roll
As this Exotic is craftable, you can fully customize its Stats. To save you time, we have selected the best Bowstring, Arrow, and Grip to make Wish-Keeper even better!
Best Perks: Elastic String, Compact Arrow Shaft/Fiberglass Arrow Shaft, Textured Grip
Wish-Keeper Catalysts
Like most Craftable Exotic Weapons, the D2 Wish-Keeper has several Catalysts, each of which can significantly affect gameplay. Each of them is obtained by completing a special weekly quest and finishing Legend Starcrossed. The first quest will available on December 26.
Here’s what each Destiny 2 Wish-Keeper Catalyst entails:
- Enduring Snare Refit: your Snareweaver traps will stay on the ground longer
- Multi-Threaded Snare Refit: Your Snareweaver traps can suspend more targets
- Vorpal Weapon Refit: Increases damage of this bow against bosses and vehicles by 20%
- Hatchling Refit: Precision final blows from this bow create combat assistants named Threadlings
Unfortunately, you cannot use several Catalysts at the same time, so you will have to choose one. If you like playing on Strand Warlock, then you might like the Hatchling Refit.
