Last year, Hunters succeeded, but this year Titans and Warlocks are ready to fight with all their might. What is Guardian Games
Suppose you have heard and watched the Olympic Games. The essence of the Guardian Games is exactly the same, but instead of countries, we have three classes, and rather than the usual sports games, we have weapon battles against each other and aliens. At the same time, the goal remains to earn as many medals as possible for your team.
How to start Guardian Games 2025
To participate in GG 2025, you are required to chat with Eva Levante. She is located in the Courtyard area of The Tower in the Last City.
Eva Levante will give you a Class Item that presents your score by changing color and glows uniquely if your weekly score is higher than anyone else. But remember, you should wear it to obtain Medallions, finish event quests, and complete the seal.
How to get rewards in Guardian Games
Your main objective is to collect Medallions, which come in different rarities and serve as your primary currency at the event. You can earn them by participating in Guardian Games activities with equipped class item.
Collecting Medallions and putting them on a pedestal in the Tower gives you many valuable rewards, and a chance to get unique event weapons, emblems and shaders from this event. Completing specific Free Event Card tasks grants you a shader and emblem, and Eva has three Ghost Shells for sale tied to each class.

Who is winning GG 2025
The winner hasn’t been decided yet. Last year, the Hunters claimed victory, and the year before that, the Titans won. Maybe this year, it’s time for the Warlocks to showcase their strength.
Every Friday, a Ceremony in the Tower will reveal the weekly winner based on class points. Players earn rewards and a Laurel Crown glow in the Tower until the next Ceremony or the event’s end. Class items will also change to gold, silver, or bronze to reflect standings.
At the end of the event, Bungie will announce the winning class, and the event’s best players will receive unique rewards, like having their Guardian Games Class item glow all year.
Guardians Games timing
Guardian Games is an annual event that is held on different dates each year. In 2025, it coexists with Heresy Act II.
When Guardian Games 2025 starts
In 2025, Guardian Games starts on March 11 at 12 PM (EST), the same time as Heresy Act II.
All Guardian Games activities will be available from the start, so there’s no need to wait to enjoy all the event’s features. Just visit Eva Levante and start playing!
When Guardian Games 2025 ends
Guardian Games 2025 will end on April 1 at 12 PM (EST), the same time Heresy Act II ends and Act III begins.
Right after that date, the game devs will announce the winning team, which will receive extra rewards.
Guardian Games 2025 Activities
There are many activities at your disposal for passing. Guardian Games has not undergone major changes, but there is a new activity. But first, let’s discuss the old ones.
Returning activities
- Two questlines (Shoot to Score and Vying for Supremacy) for these playlists appeared so you have the desire to play them. Complete them, get rewards with Medals, and have fun.
- This year there is an Event Card and Title with its own challenges and rewards, which will keep you from getting bored even after the quests are closed. We recommend completing them, because there are a lot of cosmetics and other rewards.
At first glance, it may seem that that’s not much, but believe us, it’s more than enough to prevent the experience from becoming monotonous. So, let’s move on into the next segment about Rushdown.
Rushdown
Rushdown is a fast-paced boss rush activity where you’ll face a series of encounters featuring bosses from Destiny 2’s campaigns, Seasonal story missions, and Exotic missions. As you progress, the difficulty increases, with combatants becoming stronger after each victory. Each run consists of five boss encounters, and you’ll need to complete them within a time limit—though successfully defeating a boss extends your remaining time. Faster completions may also yield better rewards, including extra loot drops or higher-quality gear.
Rushdown offers three difficulty modes:
- Warm-up Mode – A beginner-friendly entry point.
- Standard Mode – A step up in challenge, featuring more powerful enemies and modifiers.
- Expert Mode – The ultimate test, introducing tougher enemies, modifiers, and revive tokens for added pressure.
Each mode supports three matchmaking options: standard matchmaking, class-based matchmaking, and private fireteam play.
Your performance in Rushdown determines the quality of your rewards, based on two key factors: bosses defeated and total score. Completing at least three encounters in any mode guarantees a Guardian Games weapon drop. Higher scores in Standard and Expert modes increase your chances of rolling additional perks on Guardian Games weapons. Those who excel in Expert mode may even earn fully Masterworked weapons with extra perks.

There are plenty of great rewards to earn in this year’s Guardian Games. Let’s go over the basics so you don’t miss out on anything.
How to get Skimmer
Skimmer, a full-fledged new mode of transport, has been added with the arrival of Guardian Games a year ago — and now it’s back. You can get it for free by playing in this event.
All you need to do is complete the introductory quest, after which you will temporarily receive the Skimmer.
If you want to keep it permanently, you must complete one of the three tasks in the Drop In quest. To get this quest, visit Eva Levante in The Tower. First, you’ll need to complete the intro quest, after which the Drop In quest will become available.
How to get Medallions
To start progressing in GG, you’ll need to collect Medallions. You can obtain them in different ways, quantities, and values.
- Bronze or Silver Medallions: Gambit and Quickplay Crucible matches, the Vanguard playlists, Seasonal, and other Activities.
- Gold and Platinum Medallions: Raids, Dungeons, Competitive Crucible, Trials of Osiris, Contender Cards, Platinum Cards, Higher Difficulty Seasonal Activities.
- Diamond Medallions: Diamond Cards.
You can purchase Contender, Platinum and Diamond Cards from Eva, for which you will receive Gold, Platinum, and Diamond medals.

If it’s full, you will lose any Medallions earned from claiming Triumphs.
How to get Memento
To obtain a unique Fizzled Games Memento, available only during the event, you will have to diligently perform Activities to obtain Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medallions. By depositing them, you will have a chance to receive the Fizzled Games Memento. However, the Diamond medallion guarantees their drop.
How to get Sparrow, Event Card and Title
Guardian Games features an Event Card that grants free rewards, cosmetics, and the Champ Title. More Triumphs you earn, more rewards you will get:
- 5 Triumphs: Ability to purchase the Moments of Triumph T-shirt from the Bungie Store.
- 14 Triumphs: Technoprotection Ghost Shell.
- 21 Triumphs: Flagbearer Sparrow.
- 26 Triumphs: MMXXIV Seal and Title, ability to purchase MMXXIV Title Pin from the Bungie Store.
As before, this Title can be Gilded by completing even more Triumphs. Most of the Triumphs will be completed automatically if you have already completed these challenges before.

- Synchronicity: Complete all Prismatic Aspects, Fragments, and abilities on a single character.
- Salvation’s Edge: Complete any version of the Salvation’s Edge raid.
- Vesper’s Champion: Complete the Vesper’s Host dungeon.
- Sundered Doctrine: Complete the Sundered Doctrine dungeon.
- A New Golden Age: Complete Episode: Echoes Act III: A Resounding Truth.

Guardian Games 2025 Weapons Guide

This year introduces one brand-new weapon—Keraunios—along with three returning ones. Even older Guardian Games weapons will receive new perks, potentially adjusting their power level.
Keraunios, Arc Trace Rifle best perks
- Best PvE Perks:
- Recycled Energy / Eddy Current / Discord
- Jolting Feedback / Detonator Beam / Rolling Storm
Keraunios seems more like a PvE-oriented weapon, making it a great choice for testing in Rushdown mode.
To maximize Keraunios’ potential, the right perks are essential. Both Eddy Current and Recycled Energy will dramatically increase you fire speed. Enhancing secondary effects like Jolt not only amplifies its damage output but also disrupts enemy attacks. While our focus is on refining its handling, you can also Masterwork reload speed to synergize with Light Battery—a priority upgrade if you’ve chosen Eddy Current over Recycled Energy.
You can also experiment with Discord in a Trace Rifle double-special ammo loadout. In this setup, your second perk slot remains unchanged—stick with Jolting Feedback, Detonator Beam, or Rolling Storm for maximum effectiveness.
Hullabaloo, Grenade Launcher 2025

Destiny 2 Hullabaloo is a really decent Arc grenade launcher that has great potential for endgame PvE activities. You can build Hullabaloo for ad clear with Voltshot + Chain Reaction or for DPS with Envious Assassin + Cascade Point. Regardless of your build, prioritizing high velocity with Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, and a velocity masterwork is essential. This applies to both PvE and PvP.
This isn’t the best weapon of its type in the game, but it’s decent enough and adds some variety to your gameplay.
Taraxippos, Scout Rifle 2025
- Best PvE Perks:
- Enlightened Action
- Explosive Payload / Hatchling
- Best PvP Perks:
- Lone Wolf / Zen Moment
- Explosive Payload / Kill Clip
Taraxippos is primarily a PvP weapon. While it’s not overpowered in PvP, it struggles even more in PvE due to less impactful perk combinations. In PvE, you can use Enlightened Action, Explosive Payload, or Hatchling. These combos are still fun to use and can offer an enjoyable gameplay experience.
For PvP, Taraxippos is decent and comes with a variety of interesting perks. However, its time-to-kill is still relatively slow, so it won’t be breaking the meta. To improve performance, focus on boosting stability with Smallbore, Steady Rounds, and Stability Masterwork. Depending on your playstyle, Lone Wolf or Zen Moment can be effective choices. Explosive Payload is better suited for 3v3 modes, while Kill Clip works best in 6v6.
The Title, Submachine Gun 2025

- Destabilizing Rounds / Surrounded / Demoralize / Elemental Honing
The Title is basicly a PvE-only weapon. This year’s perks are much more intriguing, so there is a great potential. You need to optimize Range and Stability of this weapon, and also Appended Mag will be helpful. As for perks, best combo is Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds, but you can experiment with other good ones, listed above.
We recommend checking out Elemental Honing, which deals unique elemental damage and grants the weapon a stacking damage bonus.
