The Edge of Fate expansion has arrived, bringing major changes to Destiny 2’s gear system. One of its most underrated features is the Featured Exotic Gear: a selection of Exotics, combining new Edge of Fate items with revamped classics, that will receive significant buffs throughout this season.

Featured Exotics Edge of Fate explanation
Featured gear is the selected Exotic weapons and armor that receive bonus effects for the duration of the Edge of Fate expansion. This featured gear list will get seasonal boosts similar to newly introduced items.

While these numbers may seem modest at first, they scale even further when combined with other effects like Radiant. These synergies make featured gear especially powerful, many pieces are expected to become core parts of meta builds during Edge of Fate.

That said, you’re still free to use non-featured Exotics. They won’t get the 10% boost, but your build can still be highly effective (even top-tier) since there are other ways to reach similar damage and resistance bonuses.
