Here’s what’s new in Desert Perpetual Epic difficulty compared to Normal:
- Expands on the original raid with fresh challenges, updated encounter mechanics, brand-new Legendary weapons, and unique armor set bonuses.
- A new quest introduces an attunement system for the raid vendor and grants a catalyst for the Exotic Whirling Ovation rocket launcher.
- Contest Mode runs for the first 48 hours: enemies hit harder at a fixed Power cap; each first-time clear of an encounter drops Tier 5 gear, and a full clear awards an exclusive emblem, Exotic, and catalyst.
- The first team to finish the epic Contest Mode unlocks Epic mode access for the entire player base.

To enter The Desert Perpetual raid, you must complete The Edge of Fate campaign.
To access The Desert Perpetual raid in Contest Mode, you must complete the Edge of Fate campaign on Legendary difficulty and have at least 100 Power.
How to start Desert Perpetual raid

To start Desert Perpetual raid, visit Dean Rebecca on Kepler. This NPC will help you to launch the Edge of Fate raid.
Desert Perpetual bosses

Desert Perpetual is a non-linear raid, allowing players to choose the order of the first encounters. There are a total of four encounters, and you can tackle the first three in any sequence.
All Desert Perpetual raid bosses:
- Agraios, Inherent
- Iatros, Inward-Turned
- Epoptes, Lord of Quanta
- Koregos — Final raid boss
Only after defeating first three bosses, can you unlock the final boss encounter versus Koregos.
