Savathun’s wish only allows one person through. That person, agreed by Mara and Osiris, must be Crow. Because of Mara and Crow’s connection between light and dark, Osiris believes he can use Strand to strengthen their bond.
Crow goes through the portal, and Mara feels Crow is still alive in there. Using their bond as a template, Mara weaves the ley lines to resonate with the Veil, creating a guide through the portal, which we will use when the time is right.

Crow and the Guardians go into Warlord’s Ruin to stop Scorn after hearing a story about the castle from Saladin. Firkul’s name appears quite often. There’s also a line where Crow yells: “I wish for vengeance!”
