Bungie will reveal Destiny’s 10th anniversary next week
This week, Bungie has finally decided to reveal their future plans for Destiny, including various details about content for the upcoming week!
A month has passed since Bungie announced that they would soon reveal details about the future of Destiny 2 and what awaits us. Today, the silence has finally been broken with a bunch of news and surprises awaiting players next week, including the Revenant episode.
Destiny 10th anniversary is coming next week
Next Monday at 8 AM PT, Bungie will reveal details about the 10th anniversary of the franchise on their blog. It’s possible that with the reset, new content will immediately become available until the release of the Revenant episode, though that’s not yet clear. However, most of what will be in Destiny’s anniversary has already been leaked through data mining following the Solstice event.
Possible Destiny 2: Frontiers news next Monday
Next Monday, alongside information about the 10th anniversary, Tyson Green, the D2 game director, and Alison Lührs, the narrative director, will release a Dev Insight blog about the future of Destiny. In it, they will discuss the challenges developers have faced, are facing, and will face in the future with the game.
In the future, Bungie plans to continually share updates about Frontiers and the future of Destiny 2, revealing tidbits of information without overwhelming players with huge blog posts.
Raids and dungeons rotation changes
Starting with the release of the Revenant episode on October 8, the raid and dungeon rotation will now feature two active activities per week. That’s because the game has more raids and dungeons than ever, meaning the time between appearances in the rotation has been increasing. Now, the full rotation between activities will be four weeks instead of eight, as it was before. The first rotation of activities will look like this:
- Raids: Last Wish and Vow of the Disciple
- Dungeons: Shattered Throne and Duality
