Timbered Sky Snake Battle.net mount leaked: Next mounts are known
Blizzard accidentally leaked a new Battle.net shop Timbered Sky Snake mount. The in-game shop window shows the name and estimated price. Here is everything we know!
With the release of patch 11.0.7, players could notice a new Battle.net Timbered Sky Snake mount leaked into the in-game shop window. Pratypus shared the screenshot on Reddit. Blizzard accidentally forgot to remove it from players’ eyes, so the community now knows what to wait for. No dataminers are needed when we speak of such sloppy mistakes. However, the in-game shop only lets us witness the name of the mount, not its appearance. The community has a few ideas of what other mounts could have inspired Blizzard to release Timbered Sky Snake soon.
Chinese zodiac mounts in WoW
For the last few years, Blizzard has been adding some specific mounts related to the current upcoming New Years based on the Chinese zodiacs. For example, Lucky Yun was likely related to the Metal Ox in 2021. This tradition became very obvious when Wen Lo, the River’s Edge (Water Tiger), Jade, Bright Foreseer (Water Rabbit), and Auspicious Arborwyrm (Wood Dragon) were released in the shop one by one. All of these mounts were surely based on the Chinese zodiac calendar, which means that the Timbered Sky Snake leak is related to it, too. Such Chinese zodiac mounts in WoW became a new tradition that is going to stay.
This knowledge leads us to the list of the upcoming mounts for next years:
- Fire Horse – 2026
- Fire Sheep – 2027
- Earth Monkey – 2028
- Earth Rooster – 2029
- Metal Dog – 2030
- Metal Sheep – 2031
This list can go on, but we are sure you understood the logic.
Last thoughts
Right now, the Timbered Sky Snake leak is fixed, so you can no longer find it in the in-game shop. Blizzard hasn’t commented on this situation, but it doesn’t look like it has to. These mounts are not a big surprise since we already know the logic behind them. However, we can almost for sure say that Timbered Sky Snake will appear in the shop entirely in January or February of 2025, just like all other Chinese zodiac mounts in WoW.
