The War Within new Dracthyr classes revealed
With the 20th Anniversary update, players will be able to create new Dracthyr as Hunters, Rogues, Priests, Mages, Warriors, or Warlocks!
Previously, Blizzard already confirmed new classes for Dracthyr. Now, as part of the 20th Anniversary update, players can create Dracthyr as Hunters, Rogues, Priests, Mages, Warriors, or Warlocks. At the same time, Shamans will receive a fresh Ascendance form unique to each specialization with the launch of this update.
New Dracthyr classes abilities
Creating Dracthyr with one of these classes grants you the flexibility to battle either in your Dracthyr or Visage form. You can seamlessly switch between Dracthyr and regular form. For added convenience, you can enable Chosen Identity, which will automatically transform you into Dracthyr form upon entering combat and revert you to Visage form when the fight ends.
New Dracthyr Evoker changes
Dracthyr Evokers will continue to fight in their Dracthyr form during combat. Their draconic heritage is the source of many of their abilities. However, with the introduction of new classes for the Dracthyr, additional tweaks to their racials have been made.
Dracthyr:
- The cooldown for Tail Swipe has been increased to 3 minutes.
- The cooldown for Wing Buffet is now 3 minutes and will display visual wing effects when used in Visage form.
- Wing Buffet and Tail Swipe cannot force you into the Dracthyr form when activated anymore. This is true for all classes except Evoker.
Evoker:
- Tail Swipe‘s cooldown is reduced by 2 minutes with Clobbering Sweep.
- Heavy Wingbeats reduce the cooldown of Wing Buffet by 2 minutes.
- Permeating Chill is now a baseline ability for Evokers.
- Heavy Wingbeats is no longer linked in a choice node with Clobbering Sweep. They have also been repositioned within the class tree.
New Dracthyr features
Dracthyr players will gain access to a unique Skyriding talent called “Squadron,” allowing up to two additional Dracthyr companions to join you in a synchronized aerial formation as you glide effortlessly through the skies. This feature enhances group flight experiences, creating a striking visual of unity and precision as you and your allies soar together.
